IMDb has recently listed Rachel Weisz as part of the Wong Kar Wai project The Lady From Shanghai, with Nicole Kidman and Norah Jones so far...
Apparently Weisz talked about the fact that she was playing a role in a Wong Kar Wai movie at the Golden Globes - how big a role that is remains to be seen.
Here's a link to a brief article about it:

Now there are some rumors that she is replacing Kidman but I hope not - it would be amazing to see two of the most beautiful actresses working today (Monica Bellucci and Catherine Zeta-Jones would make this complete

) in a Wong Kar Wai movie - he certainly knows how to photograph his female leads

But yeah, Rachel Weisz was an actress that I quite liked before (in Confidence, Runaway Jury, Enemy at the Gates, The Mummy and About a Boy) but after The Constant Gardener, she is a new favorite of mine. Like Kidman, she always reminds me of the older breed of Hollywood actresses - she has this very classy feel to her and she is one of the few actresses I can see fitting perfectly into a Wong Kar Wai film. (Say what you will about her, but Norah Jones also has this "sultry" look to her that fits whatever else you may like or dislike about her) Also, I'm excited about Weisz's other project THE FOUNTAIN (can't...wait...)
If she is indeed replacing Kidman, I'll be yet again disappointed that Kidman's leaving another quality project but I won't be
that[ disappointed cause Weisz has proven herself capable imo. Though I suspect that isn't the case because it says the role is for a pregnant woman and I don't think that Kidman's role would've been to play a pregnant woman so....
