Here's a picture of my movies right now that I've bought while I've been in Arizona since August. I'm moving back to New York in June so I'll update the picture then with all my other movies. Right now the rest of my collection is in CD/DVD Binders. It's not the best picture.

Finally got 'round to taking some pictures of the collection the other day. My collection isn't quite as large (or diverse) as some of the others that have already been posted, but I'd like to think I've got a few gems in there (along with a few questionable purchases). Anyway, it's arranged sort of weird; collections first in the cabinet (including Criterion), then action, war, thriller/crime, drama, couple of sections for Spielberg, Scorsese and Tarantino, comedy, horror/sci-fi.

Yeah , it was a gift , but , to my surprise , when I popped it in , expecting Pan & Scan CRAP I was happy when I noticed that do to some (I don't know how this happened) mistake at the factory I had the ANAMORPHIC (yay!) WIDESCREEN (yay!) discs inside the case. So , I just decided to keep it.

Don't ask me how the fuck that happened....

This used to be a everyday extra closet. Now it's the vault.

Both sides of the closet are used, one side you can't see because of the angle of the picture.

851 by Joblo count
plus 120 not listed on the joblo count.

Also the photo looks kinda funny because I had to shrink it.

Cheers, Elementmorgan (I'm currently eyeballing that sexy-lookin' Pan's Labyrinth of yours) and HiroProtagonist. Judging from both of your collections, I'm much obliged for the compliments.

Funnyman: I'm reminded of the scene from Hot Fuzz where Nick Frost opens the doors to an insanely huge DVD collection. Nice stuff there.

Compliments due where they're due - that's a nice collection you've got going

Oh - and you aint the only one who had flashses of Hot Fuzz when looking at Funnymans' collection - a bit difficult to make out individual titles, but I like the setup

I went with 10 friends to Hot Fuzz and all of them looked at me and yelled during that scene. My digital camera only takes huge pictures. If you lookat myjblo page it has a list.

I cant even fit em all in.

I actually sacrifice a 80's horror flick DVD once a week in front of the vault.

So are they good movies? Its just that when I look at a movie titled "Beef" I really dont know what to expect.

On the other side, I am diging you tv collection. Some of my favorite shows and biggest guilty pleasures are in there.

Edit: I saw today that it is a rap music dvd about rap beefs. I had no idea.

theres a funny story to that, I normally have a small stack of dvds on my desk to work in, I mean its too much work to just do for 1 or 2 dvds (unless they are at the end of the alphabet like a U, like I added up in smoke with ease just recently). the stack is usually 10-15 dvds. My wife made the comment awhile ago that my stack is more than some people buy in a year. Since I only add dvds when I have enough to make it worth my effort its not to bad 15-20 minutes is all.

My latest obsession has been tv dvds, its primarily what I buy nowdays but even they are starting run low on what I want. when you have like 50 dvds and you went to best buy there was hundreds of movies you want now when I go to best buy theres a small handful that I want to buy. I find I have had to go more and more onto the web to find stuff I want because of how limited most stores are on their inventories.

Ive run into this as well. Its the Batman syndrome. In pursuing desired dvds, we eventually run out.

I am so jealous of just about everyone's collections! I wish mine was bigger. Though I went from having about 80 to 380 in the course of 9 months. The 9 months I have had a steady job, I have bought new dvd's just about every day! lol

Here's the one shelf I have filled right now. These are mostly my favorite movies and ones I need to access easily.

Ok, I gotta admit that the candles on the shrine is a little creepy . I just had images of you lighting candles any time you tatch an episode of 24. Everything else looks nifty though. I always enjoy seeing the weird shit in peoples collections. You got Santa's Slay, Nightmare collection, F13, and Barbie Rapunzel. Serial mom is awesome btw.

haha I know that does look creepy but I don't do a seance every time I watch 24 I swear! I just didn't have anywhere to put those candles. All the other shelves and tables in my room were full of other stuff so it's not what it looks like!! And I do h ave some pretty eclectic stuff. lol But that's what I love about it.

I had a buddy spend $8,000 on a theater room, he gets done, calls everyone to come over tomorrow night for a viewing of the Matrix in DTS with a 90+ inch screen, porn afterwards.

He gets off the phone and goes to work. He comes home 9 hours later goes downstairs and tries to open the door. But something is in front of it, pushes a little more and it moves. It was one of his new leather theater chairs. A pipe burst in the ceiling and flooded and ruined everything, including 600 DVD's. The 6 chairs were floating.

He insured it all and had gotten discounts on most with good receipts. He got $15000 out of it, cleaned the room and upgraded. Un real sound. He loosened a filling with Episode 2.

PS: Yes he cried. So did I....He had borrowed my Criterion of the Killer and I have to this day 3 years later never been able to replace it. I wont pay those prices off ebay.

AND IT"S WORTH................................FUCK ALL..................
