Here my list:

Not too many as I don't buy a majority of the events. I'll be getting the Born to Controversy - The Roddy Piper Story on Friday though.

I have some wrestling reviews up on dvdtalk.com. Look for the name Brendan.

I had to pay a decnet amount ($20ish) on eBay for that badboy. Never have I felt so fulfilled by a purchase.

I don't buy a majority of the events either. The WWE and or its "talent" are inconsistant.

How is it you'll be getting the Piper set early?

To put things in another way, your collection is "all over the map". There isn't a "country" you don't own "a piece of".

You (and other fans who bought them all) have made Majel (and Paramount) very happy (and rich )!

I have varied tastes, but believe me, I don't have every released DVD known to humanity.

I finally decided to post some pictures of my DVD collection (it's not much).

Not pictured are about 50 to 100 DVDs on the bottom shelf of my black bookcase, since those are the DVDs I've received for reviewing purposes that I didn't like.

Oh, and I'm also missing like 20 or so regular DVDs from those pics, just because they're either being borrowed or are in my living room.

Not only that, but there's like 50,000 other DVDs not featured in those pics, since saying that is a lot easier than just admitting my collection is embarrassing compared to your guys'.

Then again, I'm only 17, and I rarely buy a movie unless I really want it. So... yeah. Suck on that.

Hmmm, not sure. When I was young, my dad had an endless amount of VHS movies, so it took him a really long time to accept he needed to switch over to DVD.

I remember buying the Special Edition of FIGHT CLUB right after my birthday, when I had practically no DVDs. That might've been my first ever, actually...

So I guess I just turned 11.

From there, I just slowly built up my collection. I remember constantly trying to earn money with my friends, just so I'd have enough to get certain DVDs when they were released. For Christmas, instead of a list of normal presents, I just had a list of DVDs I still wanted. (And then my mom would get mad at my dad, because I had a list full of movies she didn't want me seeing, even though I already had...)

Actually I find your selection, facinating, in a "bad accident" kind of way. As I pass by I can't help but strain my neck out the window and look.

Refreshing? Compared to my collection yes. Compared to other Schmoes here no. That is to say, there are other Schmoes here who's collection is just as varied as yours. No offence.

Heh, I admire your sincerity mate, but don't feel the need to apologise for that because it doesn't offend me at all. My collection is my collection and I don't aspire my collection to be like anybody else's. That's another reason why we have this thread, to see the diversity.

My collecting philosophy is the same. The diversity is interesting to see, yes. But kind of makes me lonely. The majority of Schmoes here don't specialize in collecting the same kind of films as I do. If I had more $ tho' my collection would be more diverse.

As foolish as this seems I just wanted to say that I love love love this thread. It is always a pleasure to sit and marvel at some of these collections and see where each ones merits are. It is quite a treat. Ill be posting images of mine in about 2 weeks or so. The Alias series box set and the new 3 disc oldboy should be in the mail and I want them in the image . At least that way It will look more impressive.
