Gold!

I discoverd this forum today and i'd like to say that reading through all the messages has been inspirational as well as educational, i feel as if i've struck gold - thank you everyone.

I've currently got two screenplays on the go and I'm so glad I've discovered a place online for advice etc. I look forward to discussing screenplays in the future.

A few questions:

1. This might sound like a stupid question but how can I view films that have been featured at the Sundance film festival or the Pheonix one (is there a Pheonix one?). The one or two that have been mentioned here - how can i get a hold of them to watch? I'd like to write and direct a 30 minute film and could use some inspiration.

2. I'd like to be included in any of the email group thingies for reading other peoples work and offering feedback, if thats alright with people - please see mail icon for email addy

3. Who here has Final Drat 5 and is it really worth it?

Hey dude welcome!

In answer to question #3:

I've got Final Draft 5 and I think it is well worth it - but I got it for free so I don't know about paying $250 for it.

How are you currently writing your scripts?

Thanks for the welcome.

I'm just using regualar Word at the moment.

I like the idea that this Final Draft 5 software can 'read' your scripts with differnet voices etc, that sounds pretty cool! So where can i download the demo?

I don't think the demo version gives you access to the voice command.

It's pretty cool though - even though it sounds like a robot.
