My Horror Idea!
Its about a young rich girl with abusive parents. As she grows older she snaps killing her parents and turning them into dolls.
She then begins to abuse herself-sliting rists- and goes on a huge killing spree but without leaving the house. Anyone who ever comes to her door, she murders and turns the into dolls. One of her old friends is trying to dig up some of his old classmates (her). For a class reunion. When he finds little info on her, he goes to her house(mansion) and then comes the finale. One scene I always loved was this : He is running from her and he comes to a huge vault. He is trying to open it when she comes from behind a goes to stab him. He moves and the knife goes into the keyhole. He kicks her arm, turning it along with the knife and unlocks the door.He kicks her back jumps in the vault and closes it shut, locking it from the inside. He then sees there is another door. He pulls at it and as soon as he gets through that door she gets through the other door. He closes the one door right on her hand. She drops the knife an he saws off her hand and closes the door all the way. Soon he begins to hear cracking and looks behind to see a huge glass compartment full of blood and insides of her victims. The glass breaks and ons o blood pours out all over him and pushes him away right into the wall and falls down, getting kocked out. She takes him. I dont know how to end it What do you think? |

That's actually a cool idea, Steve, having the girl killing the people while he's trying to find her just to invite her to a party...that's incredibly 70's/80's slasher like and it's really good. A good guy versus bad girl face off at the end is cool. But there's some inconsistencies in your last part...
A knife can't just turn a keyhole like that, obviously. And why in the hell would they have a vault to a room that has another door that you can get into with? That defeats the purpose of having a vault... [This message has been edited by ban all music (edited 04-29-2001).] |

The knife in keyhole idea does seem a bit manufactured... but not a bad idea for a movie.

The whole knife in the keyhole idea has a very Dario Argento qaulity to it. At least I think so. I got a very good mental image from that.
I also thought the whole doll idea to be Argentoesque. The blood flooding the room reminded me of Kubrick's "The Shining". As for the ending I don't know how you envisage the story to go. Do you want the mad women to triumph or the man to win? If the former is the case, maybe you could end the movie with man waking up not being able to move. The woman is sitting beside him in rocking chair cackling away. As the camera pulls back for a wide shot the audience sees that the man has been turned into a living doll. He can be fed thru an intravenous drip, perhaps. Difficult to turn him into a doll with only one hand, but it's a thought. |

I know the keywhole idea is very farfecthed and thats why I liked it . I mean I don't go to the movies to see stuff that can happen, I like to see the impossible.
The vault is down in the basement. The family was very very rich and it was more of a safe. The second door (WAS OPEN BECUASE SHE HAD BEEN IN EARLIER, SETTING UP THE BLOOD BOX THING(PREVIOUS SCENE)) was for security I guess, maybe it had been robbed reciently. The blood idea was inspired alot by The Shinning. I am a huge fan of sad endings, or ones that just end (Blair Witch kinda), maybe with both dying. So I wanted either the Girl to win or both to die. |

The impossible is always good... in your case its just downright ridiculous!
Example: "she comes from behind a goes to stab him. He moves and the knife goes into the keyhole." Is she aiming for his dick or what??? Keyholes are always situated below the waist. This movie idea seems to be lightly based on alfred hitchcock's Psycho. |

I suppose i just see it in a hitchcockian style. Feels like one of those immensely immersive tales of murder and treachery. Just the kind I love. No offense intend dude.

I've read Steve's isea for the time stopper style movie and enjoyed it emmensly. But this I am afraid falls flat. Mad woman turning her murder victims into dolls? This is a very low brow concept and needs a little something known as originality. Horror films can be a great medium but this would turn out to be little less than a straight to video shlocker. The only way this could become anything else is if as 'TobyDammit' mention Dario Argento got connected to it and I'm pretty sure he writes all his own scripts.

I did not say Argento should become connected
to it. I said it had elements of his work in it. Steve, I agree, often in film, especially horror, I like something far fechted. Anyone here familiar with the concept of suspension of disbeleif? |

I was refering to your mention of Dario not his needed connection. Suspension of disbelief is fine as long as its a good idea to suspend your disbelief. I wouldn't waste the time to disbelieve with such tosh. I mean seriously, turning victims into dolls you'd need a good script doctor to get this baby rolling.

I didn't like this idea as much either. I told a few of my friends they liked it so I'd figured I'd post it here. The whole doll idea was to really make scenes with her a little scarier. I mean seeing a girl cutting open someone takingout the body parts and stuffing it, would kind of be freaky. I wasn't really fond of that idea but I thought it ould be stupid if she justed killed em.
