False. He's an actor. American actors have played foreign characters since the beginning of cinema history, accent or no accent, it always comes down to the performance. No one seems to be complaining about Liam Neeson's accent in Schindler's List or the countless British accents in Gladiator. Personally, I don't mind accents or lack thereof, unless it's shit like The Man in the Iron Mask (French accent from Depardieu, British accent from Byrne, American accents from Malkovich and DiCaprio...wtf man).
