Just when you think Stahl can't be anymore of a pitbull from hell she does this. I literally yelled "OH MY GOD!" at my TV.

Definitely one of the most "WTF" moments in SAMCRO history.

I'll be so glad when this absurd storyline is done with and the show can get back to what made it awesome. It doesn't look like the writers spend too much time coming up with ideas.

I don't understand why you think the storyline is so absurd. I've been really enjoying this season and can't wait for the finale. It's going to be hard to top Season 2's finale (especially the last couple of scenes).

I'm dieing to know what the cliffhanger tonight is going to be leading into Season 4.

Word. After last week's episode I was kinda thinking that it felt like a season finale, as it tied up a lot of the season's threads and storylines, so I figure something huge must be coming tonight and probably out of nowhere. I hate that my anticipation for the cliffhanger tonight will be followed by a damn-near year-long wait for what happens next.

Best episode of Sons of Anarchy I have ever seen and definitely the best season to date.

Glad to see Jimmy and Stahl finally getting what they deserve and the "twist" at the end was amazing.

Also loved the use of the song "My My Hey Hey" by Neil Young. Fit the ending perfectly.

Can't wait for Season 4.

Wow. What a great fucking episode.

Spoiler:
Opie and Chibs both get revenge! Plus we finally get to know what they've teased all along. Clay & Gemma killed John.

Also loved the parallel letters at the end and seeing what Jacks "has become" was a nice moment.

Is it time for season 4 now, please?

Season 4 will definitely be full on Shakespeare/ Greek Tragedy mode.

The parallel letters at the end was a nice touch. What exactly has Jax "become?"

Exactly what is father feared. The shot of just his face was very intense and you could see how proud he was of what he had done (getting two people killed), which is something John never wanted for him.

BTW, I wanted to discuss an interesting bit of symbolism in this episode.

The title of the eppy is "NS" and when Jax is at his father's grave he puts down his "NS" ring behind the "SO" ring on his father's headstone.

Any thoughts of what this means to you? I'm just getting the "I'm not following "after" my father."

You knew sooner or later that Stahl would buy the farm and having Opie to be the triggerman was the whole irony of it. Too bad she bit it because she was the perfect adversary to SAMCRO wonder who is going to replace her.

That "best friend" shot of Clay smiling legit gave me goosebumps. He's always been the coolest thing about this show, fuck Jax, I hope him and his kids all die.

WTF? I don't think you are much of a SOA fan if you hate Jax and hope his kids die. Clay is one of the best parts about the show, but I don't understand where you are coming from with the Jax hate.

Btw, great idea for some irony in season 4. Jax spent this whole season trying to protect his family and Tara from the peripheral threats toward the club, but now that Tara will be alone for 14 months with Maureen's letters won't it just be a kick if its John Teller's beyond the grave accusation that drives Tara away from Jax. If he's becoming like his mom that's pretty much the last thing Tara is gonna want to be a part of.

I like the way you think. I never thought of it like that. I think Season 4 is going to spend alot of time on who Jax is, and what he has become, and who he is going to be and will play with the whole John Teller influence.

Just now got around to the final episode. Stahl's rat spit at Jacks surprised me, and Stahl's death surprised me too. I'm going to miss her character, but come to think of it there was only so much more they could have to do before she became too over the top. This show is my favorite drama on tv right now and that was a great finale to a great season.

Just up to the ninth episode of seaosn 1 and wow what a great show, the 21st Century is truly the Golden Age of TV (many shows seem to be blowing most movies out of the water.)

Well they've already played with the John Teller influence. Season one was Jax trying to find direction through his idealistic wishes and then season 2 was Jax trying to find a way to implement and act on them and then season 3 was John teller getting knocked off his pedestal in Jax's mind.

Its not easy act on a new direction that conflicts with the one you've been on for years. It makes you look wishy washy (which is kind of what annoyed me about Tara for a while too) and it taxes you and I think Jax felt taxed for 3 seasons and the possibility of losing his son plus knowing his father had an affair and seriously considered bailing on his family was the straw that broke the camel's back. I think he finally decided to show allegiance to those who never threatened to turn their backs on him (Gemma and Clay) and act accordingly.

But this show always had the premise that every decision has a consequences. I really feel now that Tara is gonna be a mom, and Gemma's constant statements of how if you're a mother you protect your children/family with ferocity, that the great irony will be that she may end up having to protect her's from its own family.

I foresee some Godfather 2 ideas getting played with next season.

Just finished season 3 can't wait until season 4, possibly my favorite current show on TV. Loved the scene in the prison van after the horns beeped and they all looked up and laughed....so satisfying.

The payoff at the end of the finale was one of the greatest things I have ever watched. The smiles and laughes from the whole Samcro crew in the van was very satisfying.

This was so well deserved and was so happy to see her win. She is incredible in the show and should have won last year for Season 2. She is seriously one of the best parts of the show and the character is one of the best on television.

Would have loved to seen this show nomianted for Best Drama.

Finally got a hold on this show. I watched the 3 seasons in 2 weeks so everything's fresh to give a good complete overview.

Season 1 : Starts below expectation. They want to get things going off the bat so they throw all sort of storylines at you , most of which are uninteresting (crack baby ,raped teen ) or feel like a reharsh old biker stereotypes from the 60s. Once you get to episode 5-6 , the storyline gets more focused and the pace picks up. That's when I got hooked ( Tara's ex-bf arc is my fav ).

Season 2 : My favorite season . Almost every thing was perfect because the seeds were planted in S1. I like the gunrunning with the Irish and the porno arc best . Season finale was so-so tho. Henry Rollins was great.

Season 3 : Didn't dig the "going to Ireland" and "Gemma on the run" arc but they did manage to make it interesting around episode 8. Not a terrrible season but after S2 , it felt thrown-together ( like i said to my friend : SOA vs Deadwood ) but ... the finale was kick-ass !!

So yeah i'm looking forward season 4 which has all the ingredients to be as good as season 2.

Fav bikers : Tigs and Juice
Fav actor : Katey Segal .... her character gets on my nerve from time to time but she plays the "Cruella De Vil / Mother Goose" persona perfectly

8.5/10

I just watched the entire first season over the past week and now I'm moving on to season 2. What a great show, I can't believe I didn't get into it until just now. Probably my second favourite show still filming new episodes (the first being Breaking Bad).

I really do agree with Hucksta G, this really is a golden era of TV. Movies and music may suck big time in the 21st century but at least there are a lot of quality cable TV serial dramas out there.

Two-fold answer :

1. yes , lately i prefer Tv shows to movies (SOA ,Fringe , Californication , Walking Dead , etc )
2. Breaking Bad ...... awesome actors but uninteresting story (well for me )

I absolutely LOVE this show. I don't think it gets the dues that it deserves. Very compelling story with likable and interesting characters. You feel for these guys, even though they are outlaws.

I bought this show on a blind buy, and I'm glad I did. It's the best decision I've made concering TV and Film. Season one was brilliant, and was probably too much fun that anyone can have watching a show. Season two took what worked so well in season one and pumped it up, but it the makers also made the actors work alot more (not that they were slacking in season one)
Season three was a little dissapointing. It started of very well considering what had happened, but during the time that...

Spoiler:
They went to Ireland to find Abel

...It kinda dropped off for a handful of episodes. BUUUUUUUUT the ending was SO SO sweet, and such a brilliant payoff, that It pushed my anticipation for this to the level that I anticipate the new season of Breaking Bad. I hope it starts sooner rather than later.

The promo pic is pretty sweet, but it'll take me a while to get used to Jax's new cut. I'm gonna miss those beautiful blonde locks.

I don't understand the hate for the Ireland storyline. I thought it was very well done, and provided us a background or history of SAMCRO, as well as Jax's father. The finale was no doubt, the best episode of the series so far.

I will say the only thing I found cheesy about the Ireland storyline, was how the opening titles was converted into an irish song. I could understand for one episode, but not several.

Overall I enjoyed SoA, but season three alienated me a bit, but there were great scenes in the final few episodes. The finale was fucking awesome.
However, it was good enough of a finale for me to not feel the need to continue watching the series.
I knew from episode one what season 4 is seeming to be about. That wasn't even a surprise, nor is it expected to be much of one. It's just not enough to make me care about their plight(s). I think this could have been three seasons, and they all die and I would have been happy lol
