Here you go. I've deleted answers as applicable.

Gender: male
Age: 26-35

Do you like keira knightley? What are your reasons for thinking this?
I'm of mixed opinion on Keira Knightley. When she is directed well (The Jacket, The Edge of Love, Bend it Like Beckham) she can give capable performances, but she's also been wooden in many of her roles (Silk, Pirates of the Carribbean, The Hole).

Have you seen any of her movies? If so which ones have you seen?
The Edge of Love
Silk
Atonement
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Domino
The Jacket
King Arthur
Love Actually
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Pure
Bend It Like Beckham
The Hole

That's 13. A surprising amount, frankly.

Do you think she is known as a fashion icon rather than her roles in movies?
No

I'm aware of the fact she's got some advertising deals, but i'm only really aware of her as an actress.

Do you think her roles tend to be more stereotypical to a “damsel in distress” stereotype?
No

What are your reasons for thinking this?
Knightley has tended to play strong, assertive women. Even when she's in a corset and treated as the damsel in distress in the first Pirates movie she ends up getting in on a bit of the action by the end of the film, and by film 3 she's KING of the pirates. In Beckham she and Parminder Nagra play footballers, a traditionally male sport, in King Arthur her Guinevere is a warrior and almost all of her characters (see especially The Jacket and The Hole) are very sexually assertive.

Do you like Audrey Hepburn? What are your reasons for thinking this?
I love Audrey Hepburn. She's simply one of those people who radiates charisma, which makes her watchable for any amount of time, in just about anything. She's also underrated as an actress, recognised as the natural comedienne and effortlessly charming leading lady she was, but under recognised as a dramatic actress.
There are also off screen reasons to admire her. Her work for Unicef, and her apparent basic, innate, goodness as a person are both reported by everyone who ever knew her.

Have you seen any of her movies? If so which ones have you seen?
Always
Robin and Marian
Wait Until Dark
Two for the Road
How to Steal a Million
My Fair Lady
Paris - When It Sizzles
Charade
The Children's Hour
Breakfast at Tiffany's
The Unforgiven
The Nun's Story
Funny Face
Sabrina
Roman Holiday
The Lavender Hill Mob

16. Most of her major films, and over half her filmography.

Do you think she is known as a fashion icon rather than her roles in movies?
No

I think she's known as both.

Do you think her roles tend to be more stereotypical to a “damsel in distress” stereotype?
No

Hepburn was often in distress, but mostly saved herself. In films like Roman Holiday, Sabrina, The Nun's Story and Two For the Road she makes her own choices, and in Always, playing an angel, she is in the business of saving, rather than being saved.

Do you think that keira knightly is similar to Audrey Hepburn?
No

What are your reasons for thinking this?
They look somewhat similar, but their acting is very different. For all its quality Hepburn's tends to be more mannered (the performance style of the time) while Knightley, at her best, has a more natural touch. Hepburn was more untouchable, her characters, particularly in her early films, idealised fairy princesses. Their beauty is the only thing, for me, that really unites them

Would you say that the lead roles of women in the 50’s have evolved in comparison to modern day?
Yes

What are your reasons for thinking this?
Film reflects its time, and womens roles in society have evolved. Had Audrey Hepburn played Guinevere she would not have been a woad daubed warrior, and if Knightley were to play Princess Anne in a remake of Roman Holiday the ending would not have her choose duty over love. These things, though, are reflections of the times not the players.

I hope that's of some use to you.

Do you like keira knightley?
Nah. But I don't hate her either.

Quote:
What are your reasons for thinking this?
Because her images on film, T.V. &/or magazines never really seem to do anything to contribute in helping to break or at least interrupt me from my consistantly continued state of heartless indifference that my life seemes to be eternally mired in.

Yes.

Pirates & Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

What are your reasons for thinking this?
She's admittedly a tomboy 7 seems to choose roles that display this to some extent. At the very least, attitude-wise.

Do you like Audrey Hepburn?
Yes.

What are your reasons for thinking this?
Because I've noticed that whenever I see her images, whether it be in films magazines or whatever, my heart doesn't become filled up with any kind of ashened black emotions like hate an' such.

Quote:
Have you seen any of her movies? If so which ones have you seen?
Yes. Roman Holiday, After Dark, Sabrina, Breakfast At Tiffany's & the one where she teams up with Cary Grant.
Oh, & that other one. The one where she gets transformed from a bag lady to a high society broad.

Absolutely not.

I tend to notice things that are that obvious.

Would you say that the lead roles of women in the 50’s have evolved in comparison to modern day?
Yeah, I'd say it. But only if the topic of conversation came up.

Well, my psychiatrist told me that if I want to be able to mold my personality more into the societal way of thinking, that I should probably try to contribute more to whatever topic of conversation was being initiated within or near my immediate presence at that moment.
So y'know.....
there you go.

Do you like keira knightley? What are your reasons for thinking this?
I haven't been terribly impressed with her acting yet, but she's pretty hot so, I guess I like her.

Have you seen any of her movies? If so which ones have you seen?
Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

Just look at POTC.

Do you like Audrey Hepburn? What are your reasons for thinking this?
Yes because she's a good actress and she's always likable in her roles.

Have you seen any of her movies? If so which ones have you seen?
The Lavender Hill Mob
Roman Holiday
Sabrina
Funny Face
Breakfast at Tiffany's
Charade
Wait Until Dark

Do you think she is known as a fashion icon rather than her roles in movies?
Yes

Only because, these days, there are too many girls walking around with Audrey Hepburn bookbags and T-shirts who I imagine don't know a damn thing about her other than that she was a sex icon. The same could be said for Marilyn Monroe.

Do you think her roles tend to be more stereotypical to a “damsel in distress” stereotype?
No

Do you think that keira knightly is similar to Audrey Hepburn?
No

What are your reasons for thinking this?
Aesthetic similarities aside, Hepburn usually acts classier in her roles. Knightley comes off more as a rogue in those types of roles.

Would you say that the lead roles of women in the 50’s have evolved in comparison to modern day?
Yes

What are your reasons for thinking this?
Women were in a pretty good position in the '50s, but nobody would have conceived back then of an Ellen Ripley or a Clarice Starling or even a Laurie Strode.

She's OK

The Pirate movies, and that soccer flick

Do you think she is known as a fashion icon rather than her roles in movies?
No
The idea of Keira Knightly as a fashion icon is truly laughable. Wearing clothes does not an icon make.

Do you think her roles tend to be more stereotypical to a “damsel in distress” stereotype?
No 

What are your reasons for thinking this?
She took control of her own destiny in the pirates flicks. A damsel in distress just waits for the man to save her.

Do you like Audrey Hepburn? What are your reasons for thinking this?
I am familiar with Audrey Hepburns work, therefor I like her. I don't believe it is possible to see her in a film and not like her. Anyone?

Have you seen any of her movies? If so which ones have you seen?
My Fair Lady, Roman Holiday, How to Steal a Million, Sabrina, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Wait until Dark, and the Clone one from the 70's thats conspiciously missing from her IMDB page.

Do you think she is known as a fashion icon rather than her roles in movies?
Both.

Do you think that keira knightly is similar to Audrey Hepburn?

I find the idea rather insulting

What are your reasons for thinking this?

VS.

Nice trash bag Keira

Keira is pretty and all, but photographers, designers, artists and directors may like her, but they are not dying to work with her like they were with Audrey Hepburn. Keira Knightly is a one out of a 100 beauty who has a nice career and can work a red carpet. Audrey Hepburn was a once in a lifetime legend. For definitive proof, I say time capsule this for 20 years, and see who's asking about Keira Knightley then.

Would you say that the lead roles of women in the 50’s have evolved in comparison to modern day?
Yes

What are your reasons for thinking this?
To say that anything hasn't evolved in 60 years doesn't make much sense.
