The unOFFICIAL Release Date Thread: Take 2!
Thanks to Ruly and Real DVD for consistently updating this thread! I will try and make sure to keep this front page as up to date as I can!
The Dates posted are for the SELL THROUGH dates, meaning that tese dates are for when you can go to the store and BUY the movie on Blu Ray or DVD. With the way Studios are doing things now, it is getting a bit confusing on which date movies actually come out! Some movies will be released On Demand a few months before they are available to buy, and with Red Box and Netflix, there are dates that specify when they will be available to rent from those places.. but the dates that are listed on this main page are for when a title is being released for PURCHASE on Blu Ray or DVD in stores like Best Buy, Target, etc...! hey Ruly I checked, Fox said that Battleship isnt streeting until Sept.
Oh and to skynet, We only announced the marvels date to insiders, it will not have a public announcement until august looks like The Dictator is going to end up in sept as well

'The Hunger Games' confirmed for 8/18
The Hunger Games will next play on Blu-ray and DVD as Lionsgate Home Entertainment via EW has announced a 12:01am August 18, 2012 release date for the smash hit starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.
The Blu-ray edition of The Hunger Games is a two-disc set that will also include a digital copy. Over three hours of bonus material are included featuring interviews, behind-the-scenes featurettes, an exploration of differences between the book and the film, the eight-part documentary 'The World is Watching: Making of the Hunger Games,' and a full-length version of the "Propaganda Film" seen briefly during the feature film. Pre-orders for The Hunger Games on Blu-ray and DVD will commence this Friday, May 25. That date marks the 12-week mark until the retail release. I'll pass along Amazon's pre-order link for The Hunger Games on Blu-ray as soon as it is live, as well as a comprehensive list of the bonus features and tech specs. BTW. I found this when i was searching around. I think its "Safe" to say this might be the date...
September 4th - Safe (2012) BTW... Looks like the film ' A Separation' gets a new date of 8/21 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In an early alert to retailers Pixar (distributed by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment) has made public their plans to bring the 2003 Andrew Stanton & Lee Unkrich directed film “Finding Nemo” featuring the voices of Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres, Alexander Gould and Willem Dafoe to both Blu-ray Disc (in 2D) and Blu-ray 3D on December 4th. Tech specs and bonus materials for the release(s) have not yet been detailed but stay tuned. It is known that the Blu-ray will be a “combo pack” with a DVD of the film included and the Blu-ray 3D will also be a “combo pack” with a Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Copy of the film included. Neither are yet available for pre-order over at Amazon but you can sign up HERE to be notified when the Blu-ray becomes available. It looks like ' The Raven(2012)' has been confirmed for 7/31 but being kept a secret
this info comes from Mao's board:
