Archer
 A new series on FX starting next year... Plot: At ISIS, an international spy agency, global crises are merely opportunities for its highly trained employees to confuse, undermine, betray and royally screw each other. At the center of it all is suave master spy Sterling Archer (H. Jon Benjamin), whose less-than-masculine code name is "Duchess." Archer works with his domineering mother Malory (Jessica Waler), who also is his boss. He also has to deal with his ex-girlfriend, Agent Lana Kane (Aisha Tyler) and her new boyfriend, ISIS comptroller Cyril Figgis (Chris Parnell), as well as Malory's lovesick secretary, Cheryl (Judy Greer). Written by: Adam Reed (Frisky Dingo, Sealab: 2021, Space Ghost) Cast: H. Jon Benjamin (lots of voice work including Home Movies, Family Guy, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force) Jessica Walter (Lucille Bluth from Arrested Development) Chris Parnell (SNL, 30 Rock) Aisha Tyler (Google her. Yeah, I just downloaded it after Cronos mentioned it was out. You can find it via torrent pretty easily, just search: "Archer S01E01" (The actual title of the episode is "Mole Hunt").
 I must say: this shit was absolutely hi-larious. The pace is so rapid fire, a second viewing does it even more justice. The cast is great (though H. John Benjamin really shines) and I also love the visual style, which is very early Bond/Get Smart-esque. Can't wait for the series to start. I'll need somethin' to replace the void left by It's Always Sunny, as well as somethin' to tithe me over until LOST begins in Feb... "Just the tip!" I want to watch this, but I'm not receiving FX now (which sucks because It's Always Sunny is my favorite comedy series) and I rarely visit Hulu (mostly only to watch It's Always Sunny...). So, I'll probably wait to shimmy onboard once this hits DVD.
This looks great though. I've never watched Sealab, but the bits I've seen of Archer online and on TV spots look hysterical. The positive attitude here makes me joyous as well. Hopefully it'll be a great regular animated series I can tag along and stay loyal to like The Venture Bros. and South Park--been needing another one of those for awhile.

I was a little late to the party here but I'm glad it's coming back for more.
I love that Aisha's character, like that hilarious whackjob she played on The Boondocks, is basically an animated version of herself. I'm still coping with hearing her say "My vulva is as smooth as a veal cutlet" a week or two ago.

Fantastic show, saw only the first two episodes but both cracked me up like crazy. Can't wait to see more...a friend of mine is burning the whole season on disc for me

Archer's hilariously cracked version of who was in The African Queen, Lana's reaction to it and his obsession with Gator and White Lightning were major highlights.
So was the outfit of the guy who they commandeered the boat from.

"Reggieeeee!" I loved the Legends of the Fall references. Archer is one of the greatest animated shows on television. Reminds me a little of the Venture Brothers.

So, for those that don't know, Archer was picked up for a 3rd season. There will be three new episodes airing in September with It's Always Sunny, and the rest of the season airing early next year, as usual.

Three new ones with Sunny? That pretty much made my day. I knew about the pickup but I had no idea about the September plan. That's awesome.
Anyone else watch the finale on Thursday? It was golden. After a slow start, the last half of this season has been absolutely amazing.

So next season, I really hope they do more with Popeye, the former loan shark/pimp turned dry cleaner, who (if I haven't mentioned before) is voiced by Clarke Peter (Lestor Freamon from The Wire).
