Long time ago I read a book talking about these things in Africa, and the numbers really shocked me. I think it won't be better for now.
I can't remember the book name, author is Willard Price, it's about two boys taking adventures.

I got the front page of the book on the Internet, it's a worth reading

I'm sure there is a happy medium out there that doesn't involve torture, but at the same time a lot of people are fooling themselves if they think we can feed 6 billion people by treating each cow as an individual with rights that gets to live happily ever after.

The end game is dead cows. Lots of them. That being said, I am sure happy cows taste better.

Bondgirl, this thread:

http://www.joblo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140800

is designed as a place to post "weird," "wild," and "tragic" news stories from around the globe and this article surely qualifies. I don't think you need to create a new thread for every one, it clutters the forum.

Thanks.
^^^ What Quentin said.

Okay experts are saying that mobile phones could cause cancer and well you do see alot of people these days using them constantly not knowing the effects after quite a few years use.
In this study they claim it will cause cancer.
Well have we had any recent cases of people dieing yet of cancer because of this

At the momment there has not been any complaints

Anyway l would like your opinion on what you all think of this and if you do have a mobile have you had any health problems

Working in news, I get access to a lot of cool footage from all over the world. Sometimes when things are slow I make video montages for fun. Here's a montage I made of footage collected over the past week:

There is some tragic news this weekend..... Sarah Palin was asked a question about history. Her answer has caused mass suicides across the country of history teachers and anyone with a pulse. Hopefully the Red Cross is planning some sort of benefit to help those affected.

Yeah, same here. But even then, I am thinking of omitting even poultry. And I refuse to eat KFC. I have seen how they treat the chickens. Humans disgust me no end. If I could live on, and receive all the nutrients that my body requires of me from water alone. I would do just that. That way I won't be a hypocrite ansd eat meat at the animals expense.

I wish Europe dealt with students/ex-uni students like that: SWAT teams, snipers on roofs, helicopters, and negotiators (to give them one last chance ;P).

Hahaha lol one of the funniest posts on the internet, ever.

No sympathy for the Indians. No, Bondgirl goes for another approach: why the fuck can't Elephants trample over indians, it is afterall their habitat.

And on the bear killer, not what I had hoped for. I was hoping for a killer, a frenzied mad bear, a bear with fangs drenched in blood, the blood of helpless snow dwelling hippies -- why do hippies insist on good weather? strange -- but no, the killer bear was just some ordinary bear pushed by one car into another, and killed. Fucking snow dwelling hippies got no love for the bears. It's all a game to them, "oh we'll just drive into bear with VW Minibus, and bounce bear into other car and kill the passengers, and the bear will get blame. Then round campfire and sing song". Fuckin hippies. ;P
