matrix...sequal
i would have to agree with toast that adding someone like jet lee who makes so many action films already into this movie might simply make the matrix yet another action film, when it should be known for its originality and groung breaking special effects.

The Matrix was an astounding movie, very much visually. Another problem is that the Wachowski Brothers are going to have to match there previous effects and go further to full fill the expectations of many diehard fans.

Actually, "most" after thought sequels are crappy in comparison to the first. The Matrix is a stand alone....I don't think it needs a sequel and would srongly advise against it. I would prefer it to ramain as it is now instead of getting tainted by future movies of the same name. Most sequels are best left in the imaginations of the viewer to the first. Otherwise it is doomed to be dumb.

although i have high hopes for the matrix sequel i get a sinking feeling when i think that jet li might be in it.i think that would make the entire film like that one scene in the matrix when neo fights morpheus which i thought was a stupid and unnecessary scene.also i hope it doesn't continue with the bogus romance between neo and trinity

Honestly, i think the Neo vs. Morpheus scene did have some meaning. This scene gave the viewer a chance to see what the Matrix is capable of and what Neo is capable of( the part where Neo's arm "smudges" from speed). But I got to agree that the "romance" between Neo and Trinity was bogus.

I heard the real world is a matrix, too. I don't think they should go that far. It would make everything too complicated and cheesy. I think they should stick with only one matrix before they DO wreck the series

The first movie was so crappy that a sequel could not be any worse.
