I just figured out Dubstep !!!

Basically , I should just buy a Novation Launchpad and set it with my favorite sample

Official site : http://www.ableton.com/launchpad

Contest winner : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqRt_H1VpDA ... i am actually impressed.

watch out Skrillex and Deadmau5 .... Dirtyfrog in da house .... in 2028 !!!

I'm open to new technology but this seems more like playing the old classic SIMON on hardcore level

Assuming that each of the buttons in the 8x8 grid are for trigging, that would mean it has 17 more distinct "tones" than a 6-six string guitar.

I don't really get the general reaction to dubstep, be it positive or negative. It's just really aggressive techno, not all that far removed from bands like Front Line Assembly, Aphex Twin, Daft Punk, or Wumpscutt. I find it weird that a subgenre of a subgenre got so popular, but people acting like it's the worst thing in the world are laying it on a bit thick. Like that one woman in the video said: I'd rather listen to that than Justin Beiber.

Dubstep is a vast genre, and in the beginning it sounded more kinda like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBtVCyBaxn0 than what people dance to today like for example this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiRv6tj1l2s. I dig it all.

Great examples, add this to that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzgTa9Z5Ukw and you've got a few examples of the foundation of it
