Top Gun arrives in 3D on 2/19/13
The 1986 Tony Scott directed film “Top Gun” starring Tom Cruise is coming to Blu-ray 3D on February 19th, 2013 via Paramount Home Entertainment according to an early retailer alert. The release will come in the form of a “combo pack” with a Blu-ray Disc (2D version) and a Digital Copy of the film included. Tech specs and bonus materials for the release have not yet been detailed but stay tuned. The title is available for PRE-ORDER over at Amazon* with a $27.99 price tag.
And no, this didn’t just come out of nowhere in some scheme to “cash-in” on the death of the film’s director. In fact, this had been in development before the late Tony Scott took his own life in an apparent suicide earlier this year.
