So far in my opinion, Romney destroyed Obama in the first debate, Biden won over Ryan slightly in the second debate, and Obama and Romney tied in the third debate.
So it's even. |

Obama will win undoubtedly(as if it really matters).

Agreed. He has way more demographics under his belt than Romney. Romney can't win without the vote of women, blacks, Hispanics, gays, etc.
It's the archaic social conservatism that holds the Republican party back. They need new ideologies, ones that are less rooted in religion. |

Or they could just fall off the face of the Earth. That'd work too. That'd be the more preferable scenario, actually.

I'm sure they're doing everything in their power to NOT fall off the face of Earth, mainly because they don't believe in gravity.

Republicans will have to eventually relent on some issues if they want to stay relevant. This will be one of the last elections where they can rely almost exclusively on the white vote. Some of the higher powers in the GOP realize this and will probably try to change course on a couple policies over the next several years. Whether that means compromising on issues like immigration or just dragging Marco Rubio on a stage 4/8 years from now is entirely up to them. |

It was natural for Mitt Romney to ease up in the middle debate. In the third debate, he will deliver the coup de grace.

The third debate is entirely on foreign policy, something that is a clear weak spot for Romney. His European trip this summer was a total embarrassment, his comments on FP have been out of depth and his attempt to attack Obama on Libya (which is supposed to be a slam dunk for Republicans/Romney) in the second debate led to his most embarrassing moment from the entire night.
The recent news that a) Iran is ready to do talks with the US over their nuclear program and b) confirmation that the Benghazi attack had no involvement with Al Qaeda and was opportunistic rather than planned out for a long time will be something that Obama can trot out as signs of his policies working. Romney appears to be at a disadvantage before this debate, but let's not forget that Romney had a heavy disadvantage before the first presidential debate. Of course it's not like this debate will really matter. A debate on foreign policy (when the economy and domestic issues are the first thing on voter's minds) on a Monday night (football!) isn't going to entice voters or change their mind too much. |

Mitt Romney won the debates, but they don't matter now. All that matters is November 6.
