What horror film in the 80's really stuck out to you.

I personally have to say Evil Dead is was just a very aggressive movie but there were tons of great movies in that time period so let's hear some other great horror films.

STREET TRASH was my favorite horror film of the 80s. Great effects, trashy, gore, necrophilia, comedy, playing catch with a severed dick, melting boobs, this one had it all.

A Nightmare on Elm Street.

I still remember being terrified of this movie as a young boy and I still look back on it as groundbreaking. It's truly a piece of art.

"Return of the Living Dead" - I find myself constantly grabbing and watching this. It has amazing re-watch-ability factor. Also want to mention "Night of the Creeps". Both of these I re-watch a lot.

F13 VI - Not surprised Kevin Williamson cited it as an influence when writing Scream. My favorite of the series.
Lost Boys
Night of the Creeps
The Shining
Return of the Living Dead
Creepshow
Fright Night

The first time I watched "A Nightmare on Elm Street" it made me feel a little uneasy about falling asleep. The only movie from the '80s that actually stirred a little fear in me. So yeah, that one.
