The Big 4

1 ELVIS PRESLEY - Elvis is the father of modern music. He recorded songs from blues artists in Memphis and helped to bring black artists into mainstream radio. Elvis made 30 movies and remains the biggest star of all time.

2 THE BEATLES - The Beatles took the rock n' roll of Elvis Presley through the British Empire. They made the leap from singles to albums and turned rock music into an art form. Every rock band to this day came from The Beatles.

3 ABBA - Swedish ABBA was The Beatles with women. Although written by Benny and Bjorn, ABBA songs are female. After all, the 70s was the women's decade. ABBA took the music of Elvis and The Beatles around the planet, into Communist countries and the Third World.

4 SHANIA TWAIN - Shania and husband Mutt Lange are the third couple in ABBA. They brought the girlie themes of ABBA to Nashville and country music. Shania took it full circle. She is the female Elvis. Shania starts a 2-year gig at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas on December 1, 2012.

Well l love ABBA and also like Sharnia Twain and lonly a few monthes back she wasnt going to return to her singing career becuase someting had happened to her voice

Well Evis yes he is the biggest star of singing even if he is not with us anymore

Not only uoi have his singing you also have his movies

But there was only one movie l liked him in and it was a western it was a shame they didnt try and get him into serious acting instead of all those sing along movies

Bondgirl,

Thanks for the reply.
Yeah, ABBA is my all time favorite. I actually wrote a book about ABBA. I still have parts of it at my site.

I remember when Shania talked about losing her voice. It must have been around the time of her divorce.

She is fine now and will start her 2-year gig at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas one month from today. I will get out there at some point. I saw her in Nashville in 1998 and in Louisville in 2004. She is 47 now, but I think she can still do it.

Elvis Presley & Michael Jackson are the two most profitable dead musicians this year (or was it in history)? As well they should be.

Oh so you have written a book about ABBA

That is interesting
Did you know that the blonde ABBA singer in the group is making a come back and bringing out some new music

Oh and when you talk about Michael jackson he was in a way up there with Elvis

I loved Michaels songs and he amazed me on how he could sing and l will always remember the moon walk which you might as well say everyone tryed to copy

Plus his dance moves were diffrent to the singers you see today who just dont have the talent

Sharnia l wish she would have a few concerts in Australia so l can have the chance to see her

Yes, I know about Agnetha's comeback. I have followed her for years.

I am a songwriter in Nashville, and I will see Shania in Las Vegas.

My site is http://www.jimcolyer.com

Do you write country songs
Plus another thing have you been able to get some of your songs sang by diffrent singers yet

Well l have to say that Agnatha has been out of the spot light for a long time and she wouldnt perform with the former ABBA group after they split up

Which l am surprised that she has decided to releace songs now

But maybe she prefered to get her own idenity instead of following the other Former ABBA members

Oh so you have your own site

i have just posted a commnet

I will have to have a further look on the site there is so much on there even things on the American election and plus you have your song section which l will have a further look at smiles

Thanks for posting a comment.

I write country, rock n' roll, and pop. Lots of people have recorded my songs (men & women).

There have been CDs, but still trying for a hit.

I have over 200 songs at my site. You can download for free.

Yes, things were tense in ABBA after the divorces. Agnetha and Bjorn have 2 children, but Bjorn remarried and has a second family.

Agnetha is working with a Swedish songwriter. The new album may be in English or Swedish. Not sure.

I visited Australia in 2002 for a star party (astronomy).

So is there any famous singers who have recorded your songs
have you ever thought about Taylor swift some of her music has abit of country in it but not all

yes the group collapse was to do with the four of them getting devorced from each other

One song which was there last was Winner Takes It all
That song showed so much heartbreak and waht they were going through at that time

One thing you dont see is the children Agatha and Bjorn had and the only thing l have seen of the children or l think maybe it was one child they had and it was shown in a bookmwhich was written about the ABBA band but after that you didnt see the child at all

So you came to Australia was it is Sydeny where you went to the event
i bet if you visited Australia now you would find it very diffrent now

No "famous" singers have recorded my songs. But that can change. I am working hard!

Taylor Swift is good. She writes her own songs. She is 22.

The Winner Takes It All http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92cwKCU8Z5c

Agnetha's children are Christian and Linda. They are grown up.

Linda is a mother, so Agnetha is a grandmother.

Yes, Australia would be different now. That was 10 years ago. I landed in Sydney and drove to the Blue Mountains for the event.

Yes, Agnetha was the center of the group. Her voice and her looks.

Agnetha is 62. Born April 5, 1950

Benny has a group called the Benny Andersson Orchestra. They play Swedish folk music.

Benny and Bjorn wrote 2 musicals after ABBA.

They wrote CHESS in the 80s with Tim Rice. It is about chess players and their love affairs.

One Night In Bangkok is from CHESS.

Benny and Bjorn wrote KRISTINA FRAN DUVEMALA in the 90s. It is about Swedish emigrants who came to America in the 1850s.
