First R-Rated/18 certificate film you watched

I remember when I was about 10 I got to watch Robocop, I had the okay from my mum and dad to watch it at my friend's house. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have let me if they'd known how violent it was.

Nevertheless I was scared to death of Clarence Boddicker. I mean obviously I'd let a sheltered middle-class life because he was the scariest guy I'd ever seen. Other than that I wasn't traumatised by Robocop or Total Recall which I saw shortly afetrwards. I fact every young kid my age seemed to have seen Robocop.

What was the first R-Rated (or NC-17 for that matter) or 18 certificate film you guys saw and did it have any effect on you?!

I honestly I have no idea. I was too young to remember my first R movie. The side of effect of having an older brother.

Probably Blue Thunder, but we had HBO when I was a kid, so who knows for sure.

I'm totally guessing here, but I think it's probably something like The Terminator.

The Terminator was the first R-movie I'd seen in the theaters.

I'm not sure what was the first I'd seen but it was on HBO. All The Marbles and Stripes are the earliest ones I can recall.

I think mine was The Matrix. After I finished watching it, I remember thinking, "Well this wasn't so inappropriate."

So began my realization of how little MPAA ratings actually mean.

No idea if it was the first 18 cert film I saw but Die Hard is one of the earliest I can think of (along with Predator).

I saw the 1st Robocop in theater at 14 .... it was rated 14+ around here.

not sure what my 1st R-rated/18 certificate movie is but i'm pretty confident it's Class of '84. I did see Alien first but basically because my uncle called me in the living room while the alien was popping out on John Hurt's chest ... which scared me for life !

I think mine was "My Cousin Vinny". My uncle had it on VHS when I was 14 or so.
