Deliberate practice

Wanted to shatter this section from all of this Bondgirl takeover. How many of you have heard the term "deliberate practice" or Malcolm Gladwell's book "Outliers" ?

There is this groundbreaking article based on scientific research of what makes people successful in their chosen field of work.

http://www.uvm.edu/~pdodds/files/pap...csson2007a.pdf

There have been two books based on this article, one of which is Outliers and the other is Talent Is Overrated. Though just reading the article is more than enough.

The argument is that people who become successful or extremely good at what they do, not because of an innate talent or some genetic genius, but through cognitive, and deliberate practice. NOT just general practice of a skill you're already good at. It is absolutely fascinating, and potentially life-altering article.

Discuss.

It's too short of an article for me to complain about the length.
