Christian Slater movie 'Playback' makes just $264 at US box office

Christian Slater film Playback earned just $264 (£163), making it the lowest grossing movie of 2012 in the US.

The indie horror movie showed for one week in a single cinema, bringing in $252 on opening night.

According to Box Office Mojo, Playback earned just $12 more during the following week, after which it was pulled.

Slater, 43, once starred in high-grossing films alongside the likes of Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise.

The Daily Mail calculated that approximately 33 people viewed Playback, with cinema ticket for 2012 in America costing an average of $7.94.

The strong Christmas Day performances of Les Misérables and Django Unchained helped put Hollywood on target to reach a new box office record with $10.8 billion in annual revenue.

I say the GI Joe movie that was moved from 2012 to 2013. It made nothing in 2012 and prob lost money, because of marketing. So there
