Point Blank

Point Blank A John Boorman Film
1967/color/not rated/89min

"There are two kinds of people in his up-tight world: his victims and his women. And sometimes you can't tell them apart."

A film mistreated and misunderstood at initial release now has become one of the best films to come out of the 60's.The technical brilliance of Boorman is felt all throughout the film. from it's sound & picture editing to it's nonlinear structure.

Marvin gets double crossed for some money and his lady. so he's out for revenge and to get back what's his ,the money. Marvin play his character so calm it's a little scary. You just don't know what's going on in his head,a what step's going to be next. Marvin's a big shit storm and he's coming the bad guys way and there's nothing they can do about it ,a lot of people or going to get hurt and a lot more are going to pay with there lives.

Cool film "Phil". Boorman's POINT BLANK (9/10) is a true action classic.

Inventive structure, great camera work and gritty dialogue make this film great.

Lee Marvin is in top form as the revenge driven anti hero. The sound of footsteps alone are chilling as they echo down the halls of those who are going to feel his wraith. Kickass shit.

This film is hard to the end and still delivers a punch, unlike the shitty feel good remake PAYBACK(5/10).
