Why are they killers?

Why the heck on Scream, were those two dudes killers? Did they think it fun? I don't quite understand.

Billy's dad was screwing Syd's mother, that's the reason he left Billy and his mom. Stu did it for fun.

There's nothing to understand, yes they think its fun. Why was Bundy a killer, why was Gacy a killer? Why was OJ a killer? Because they're nuts and fucked in the head.

Billy had a reason to kill,whereas STU just did it to "fit in" i guess...i never thought they never had a LAME reason why they killed...

I would have preferred that the killers didn't have reasons in the sequels to "SCREAM"...I prefer the frivolous thrill-killing of the first to the "complex" sibling/copycat reasons in the last two...

well,actually isnt the "so-called" motive for BILLY and STU that horror movies made them do it??i think it was more of an excuse,but it kinda fits as their motive..
