Great Taglines

Taglines are like movie slogans. For instance, "Alien's" is "In Space No One Can Here You Scream."

Others:

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre: "Who Will Survive and What Will Be Left of Them?"

Phantasm: "If This One Doesn't Scare You, You're Already Dead."

Near Dark: "Pray For Daylight"

Re-Animator: "Herbert West Has a Good Head on His Shoulders. And Another One On His Desk."

The Fly: "Be Afraid. Be Very Afraid."

From Beyond: "Humans Are Such Easy Prey."

An early poster for "Alien" had this:
"A Word of Warning ... Alien"

Cameron devised a tagline when he wrote the screenplay for "Aliens": "Sometimes Survival Isn't Enough." (Much better than the blah "This Time It's War.")

Army of Darkness: "Trapped in Time. Surrounded by Evil. Low on Gas."

Can you guys think of any more?

Always had a soft spot for:

THE BITCH IS BACK (Alien 3)

Plus:

GET HOOKED AGAIN... (I Still Know... the tag was better than the film !)
The night HE came home... (Halloween)
You Think you're alone. Think again...(Hollow Man)
THEY LOSE THEIR LIFE IF THEY DON'T LOSE THEIR PANTS (from the trailer to Cherry Falls)

...plus others, but I can't remember them at the moment. Memory ain't what it was... (and i'm only 20, sheesh!)

Some of the ones I like:

Black Christmas- "If this movie doesn't make your skin crawl, it's on too tight."

Clownhouse- "You can't leave, they want to play."

Chopping Mall- "Where shopping can cost you an arm and a leg." "Chopping Mall, where they slash their prices and their costumers."

There are many others I like, I'll write them when I remember them.

There once was a house,
A bright happy home.
Something bad happened,
Now it sits all alone.
These are its bones;
This is its skin;
There are its eyes;
Won't you...COME IN?
(From the teaser trailer of "The Haunting" remake)

Sound the trumpets. Raise the drawbridge. Drop the Oldsmobile.
(Army of Darkness)

The ultimate experience in grueling horror!

If you make a cheesy, unoriginal horror film, make sure it doesn't suck like this one-From "I Know What You Did Last Summer"

Oh wait, that is what the tagline SHOULD have been

How 'bout this one from the remake of Psycho:

Check in. Unpack. Relax. Take a shower.

It works a lot more when there's that picture of the bloody shower curtain next to it, I know, but you still get the idea...

Originally from Mikey - "Remember, Freddy and Jason were kids once too"

Hellraiser - "Demons to some. Angels to others", and "Satan's done waitin'"

Hellbound: Hellraiser II - "Time to play"

Hellraiser III (spotting a theme here? ) - "What began in Hell will end on Earth"

House 2: The Second Story - "It's gotten even weirder"

Phantasm IV: Oblivion - "The sequel with balls!"

Wes Craven's New Nightmare - "This time, staying awake won't save you"

(Ugh) Nekromantik 2 - "Return of the loving dead"

Bad Taste - "Watch out Aliens - here comes Derek!"

B is for Bed
C is for Car
D is for Dead
F is Failing to keep your head!
