What happened to Lost Boys Part 2???

If a movie ever yearned for a sequel it's The Lost Boys. Now I know a sequel was planned but it never happened.

I read a few bogus Lost Boys 2 scripts and they sucked. I even heard they wanted to go The Lost Girls way...

Whats going on with that???

Only way it would work would be to get the original cast back. That whole gang of actors did a damn good job. And the same director, even though Joel Schumacker has been a tad dissapointing as of late Im sure he can come back to his horror roots. Oh and the Frog brothers gotta be on it. But please what ever you do dont make it a cheap modern vampire movie please. I mean Not another forsaken please, thank you very much. That movie was supposed to be according to the critics as sexy as the lost boys..ha! How dare they...jeez the things these critics will say !

"Joel Schumacker" (well I can't fuking spell either.) did an interview for uk mag. Empire, a while back, in which he said WB had been pestering him for years about doing a lost boys sequel. He said they were now in the planning stages of doing lost girls without him.

Not to scare anyone here, but I'm sure I read somewhere that Britney Spears was linked to the project, or WB wanted her, or some other shit.

I`m pretty sure "Lost Girls" is coming soon. And I think Schmacher is executive producer on it. Are you sure he said he wouldn`t be involved?
Expect to see it on the shelf at your local Blockbuster in the near future.
Don`t hold your breath for any returning stars - and no way in hell is Brittany Spears gonna be in it! She`s way too "high profile" to stoop to appearing in a horror film!

I think a Lost Boys 2 written by Eric Red would be pretty good. If they got the right director.

Don`t get your hopes up. I have a sneaky suspicion it`s gonna be really lame (I`m talking about "Lost Girls").

Yeah, it probably will be shitty. Especially if the rumor about Britney Spears being in it is true. She sucks. Her songs suck. Her videos suck. And she's an ugly fucking whory skank. I bet you she can't even really sing.

I think that is the quickest way to kill anything that even REMOTELY has a chance of being entertaining: Just shove Britney the hag in it.

Anyway, the Lost Boys was sweet, I really don't think it needs a sequel...

I agree with spacemonkey. The only way the movie would really work would be to bring back the original cast.

You guys, I`ll say this one more time:
This is a direct-to-video sequel to an 80`s vampire movie.
Brittany Spears is *NOT* going to be involved with it in ANY way, shape, or form.

"I posted this elsewhere but it's more relevant here so:[copy/paste]"

Haven't you guys heard? Britany Spears is at the moment attempting to break into acting. She's fronting a girl-buddy film called Crossroads and making an appearance in the new Austin Powers film so it's at least possible that she's being considered. As far as reading for the part I doubt if they even have a script at this point.
I'm not excited about Lost Girls either 'cause you know it's gonna be just like that shit The Craft and that would be frickin' sin.

I for one was happy at the rumour that Joel Schumacher wouldn't be returning 'cause I think the guy's totally lost it, and he's had enough chances already to prove otherwise.

Another rumour about LG was that Eliza Dushku would be in it but I've gone off the idea now. She's unfortunately been unable to break out of her type-cast and I'm getting a little bored of her lack of versatility.

I know that Brittany has that "Crossroads" movie coming out, I just don`t believe that she would want anything to do with THIS PARTICULAR movie.

The Lost Boys was a really good film.
It is surprising knowing that the director is the mediocre Schumacher.
I am for a sequel of course but with the majority of the original cast.

I actually don't rate The Lost Boys too highly. At a push i'd probably give it about 6 out of 10. I'm no huge fan of Schumacher but there are at least two of his movies i'd rate way higher than The Lost Boys (Tigerland and Falling Down). The prospect of a sequel to The Lost Boys just leaves me thinking "Why bother?".

No sequel please, At this point there is no need. It would only tamper with the first one, As It stands alone as a great horror film with no sequel. Usually I'm all for sequels, but not this time. Britney Spears will never appear in a horror flick, ever. Oh and Jay wolf I agree with what you said but I think she is hot as hell.. Oh well.
