Hmm, its been awhile since I had my horror fix. I watched Leprechaun for St. Paddy's Day. I can't believe Jenn Aniston is in that. ~ 2/10

I saw a couple clips for Suicide Club in class today, now I really want to see it. Anyone have a review for it?

Some crappy teen horror flick on SciFi. I think it was called The Hallow or something like that. How many variations of The Legend of Sleepy Hallow do we really need?

I think you may be referring to THE HOLLOW starring a certain backstreet boy NICK CARTER and that awesome bird off 8 SIMPLE RULES.

I tried to watch Eraserhead with a friend. He couldn't watch anymore of it when the baby showed up--he was disturbed by it.

Had you seen Eraserhead before? If you haven't, I highly suggest you finish it, even though it gets more and more painfully disturbing.

Anyway, I got to catch up on the last week.

Re-Animator - 9.5/10
The Thing - 10/10
From Dusk Till Dawn - 9/10

THE HILLS HAVE EYES 2.

After reading all of the negative reviews I suitably lowered my expectations and had a good time. Not very good by any standards but definately not bad.

From Dusk Till Dawn: 9/10. I still want to see this movie every now and then, even tho I have seen it at least a dozen times. My roomate and I popped it in the other day as a warm up for Grindhouse. I love this flick.

The Last House on the Left - 7.5/10

Like The Exorcist, it's a bit outdated in its ability to be truly frightening. Not to take away from the quality of the film. I don't dis the Tingler because it's a giant fake bug on a wire.

Grindhouse. As a whole I give it a 6/10. Could have scored higher if Death Proof had given me something even remotely interesting. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Planet Terror - 10/10

When this comes to dvd and if they actually re-insert the "missing reel" I will drop it to 9.5/10

Probably the only time I will ever not want something reinserted into a film. The point was to have the missing reel.

As an extra deleted scene, heck yeah, I wanna see it, but not as part of the experience of the movie itself.

Grindhouse 9/10

I take one point off for Death Proof's beginning, all that talk with the chicks REALLY slowed things down and was pretty boring. I mean, I'm a girl and I thought all that bullshit dialogue was stupid.

Overall though, this movie kicked serious ass! And the trailers were a freaking awesome addition. I liked Machete and Thanksgiving best. I fell out of my seat when I heard "They just f*cked with the wrong Mexican." !!!!

Several of them:

Masters of Horror: Pelts 5/10- It rates that high just for the gore.

Masters of Horror: Pro-Life 6/10- controversial subject, but Carpenter could have done so much more with it.

Texas Chain Saw Massacre 10/10- OK, so I just scored the Dark Sky Films 'Ultimate Edition', and I gotta say, this one puts all other editions to shame. Throw away your Pioneer versions!!! This one is the shiz-nit!!!

Grindhouse- 9/10, I absolutely loved Planet Terror, kicked so much ass. Death Proof was also very good, but going from Planet Terror to the slow opening of Death makes it only a 9 instead of a 10. But man, can Quentin Tarantino ever write dialogue.

Sleepaway Camp

Yay, first watch. Fun slasher that's way too shy until its very end. What's funny is that almost every kid in the movie is a good actor and almost every adult in the movie is a terrible actor (whoever was playing Mel is one of the worst fucking actors I've seen). I'm also very confused about some of the events. What the hell was the opening scene with the speedboat? What's with the bizarre flashback during the Angela/Paul kissing scene?

And that ending. Whoa.

That sure was BALLSY.
*rimshot*
I mean, I guess the killer was a real DICK.
*rimshot*
Everyone in the audience must've been left HUNG up.
*rimshot*
That actor was a real important MEMBER of the cast.
*rimshot*
. . . genitallia.

7/10. I'll do parts 2 and 3 too.
