Clawed: The Legend of Sasquatch

Pretty boring movie here and not even close to enough gore. If there wasn't that split second of nudity I'm not sure if this would of even got an R-rating.

3/10

Damn I find it's safe to say the best bigfoot movie so far dates as far back as The Legend of Boggy Creek (1972), although Abominable is quite fun.

Nymphiod Barbarian in Dinosaur Hell.

Not really horror but its from TROMA. TROMA pretty much bought this flick. Gave it a cool title. Added 5 mins of footage from other TROMA films, so it makes it look like Tromaville in the future. Then tried selling it as a heavy on the sex, violent, monster action flick. Its not. There is no nudity, no story and a little bit of blood here and there. Some okay stop motion animation. But nothing else.

1/4 stars.

Todd McFarlane's Spawn

10/10

Yes...not really horror but definately dark and violent. I loved this show when it aired on HBO and finally got around to buying the whole series on DVD. Only thing I want to say is........Why Why WHY! Why couldn't the live action film be like this show??? This show is fantastic!!!

One Missed Call

Rob Zombie said this when asked to remake TCM: "No fucking way! Those movies are perfect -- you're only going to make yourself look like an asshole by remaking them. Go remake something that's a piece of shit and make it good." Of course this guy has double standards for himself, but One Missed Call is certainly not one of the best efforts of Takashi Miike. So there IS a proper reason to remake it. But that's NOT saying it's ok to produce a load of crap.

To my feeble knowledge, any Asian horror remake so far has wound up being nowhere as good as the original. The One Missed Call remake is just another epitomization of the soullessness of the studios. And the remakes of The Host and A Tale of Two Sisters will ever be good? God I hope those movies never see the light of day... 3/10.

Alien Redux - The Virtual Workprint

Fanedit. A whole batch of deleted scenes, unseen footage and Jerry Goldsmith's unused score cues are edited in to make this version run as long as 140 minutes.

100 Tears

Not that bad. Though the acting is a little awkward and amateurish, the film's heaviness on gore and violence makes up for it. Cheasy fx, killer clown, catfight... just dig all that stuff. 7/10.

What a waste of time.
Finally pulled this one off the shelf and wish i'd left it there.
I can't say enuff bad things about this movie.I had no idea that it's a borderline comedy or i wouldn't have even bought it.
The only reason it even gets a 3/10 is for the tit shots.

Diary of the dead

What a terrible movie!, seriously. I felt no tension, i didnt laugh once, the acting is terrible and the hand held camera effect may as well not be there. An utter waste of a potential.

3/10

The Cottage

Now here is a great horror comedy. Great little flick with some loveable and funny characters. Jennifer Ellison is great as the loud mouth scoucer. Great gore too.

7/10

Hide and Seek

Im talking about the Jennifer Tilly and Daryl Hannah version, i think its called Cord in some places. What a twisted little movie. Great acting from Tilly, she really is amazing in this.

ARCADE

An old Full Moon flick about a video game that steals your soul if you lose. The movie is boring and the F/X are bad. The movie has some good small actors. Megan Ward from Encino Man, PCU, and Trancers 2 is the lead. Peter Billingsly from A Christmas Story and Iron Man is her buddy. Seth Green shows up as does A.J. Langer from My So-Called-Life and Escape from LA.

The f/x are pretty bad- even for its time.

1/4 stars. Boring.

The Mutant Chronicles - 9/10
Considering it's a STV flick, it's fooking awesome, full of CGI which varies in quality but works well for the most part. Perlman rules, rest of the cast is also good. Very entertaining movie. Hunter has more than made up for the shitty Lighthouse.

A Girl For Satan - 4/10
Humanoids Of The Deep - 5/10
House By The Cemetery - Grindhouse Edition - 5/10
Dollman vs. Demonic Toys - 3/10
Shoddy vs. movie that recycles a load of footage... and it's only an hour long.

I love the books! And when this first came out I must have seen it at the theater about 10 times! Cruise does an excellent job as Lestat. Brings that character to life wonderfully. He let him stay a very vicious bastard, but with a sense of humor and extreme enjoyment for what he is. Brad Pitt and Kirsten Dunst were perfectly cast as Louis and Claudia. Christian Slater was a great replacement for River Phoenix who died right before filming. Antonio Banderas was all charisma, though he didn't look like the character as it is written in the novel...he worked well in the part. The atmosphere and music are beautiful. It kept very close to the book so I was extremely happy with and I love watching this when I can.

Where the fuck do you find these movies??? I've never heard of it, so I googled it, and I found this... Some band called Funeral Rape has an album called "A Chainsaw in the Cunt", and the cover for it is pretty nuts. I just posted a link instead of a direct pic 'cause it's probably too inappropraite.

Getting ready for the movie this weekend. WHOOHOO!!!

X-files: Season 1

7/10

They were just getting started and some are hit and miss but the Mulder and Scully relationship gets going well after about 4 episodes. And it's nice to watch the beginning of the alien conspiracy.

X-files: Season 2

8.5/10

Still a couple hit or miss episodes but overall a better season! The atmosphere of the series is finally in high swing and there are some genuinely creepy episodes. Mulder and Scully are in full on "X-files" relationship mode now......the way we love them! BUT...there aren't enough of the overall alien conspiracy episodes that cover the whole series in this season. 2 less stand alones replaced with 2 conspiracy eps would have pushed this to a 9 or 9.5....can't wait for season 3 tomorrow!!!

Haha, never heard of them before, interesting cover they've got there. Randomly came across Scumfuck on youtube (it's a short) a while ago and downloaded it, came across the file last night and gave it a watch, 6 minutes of shite.

Anguish

What starts out as a typical 80s slasher turns into something with a quite brilliant and effective gimmick. The plot follows an orderly in an eye clinic played by Michael Lerner who after being hypnotized by his bizarre mother, goes on a murder rampage during which time he removes the eyeballs of his victims. It's always cool to see a name actor (particularly an Oscar nominee like Lerner) take on these kind of b-grade psycho roles to probably pay the bills, as the viewer can wonder just how far the movie will go with the gore and nastiness with someone like that in the lead. Admittedly the gore ain't too shabby here. Then there is Zelda Rubinstein as his mother: After freaking people out of all ages as Tangina in the Poitergeist movies, here she plays an even freakier character, especially during the hypnotism scenes. They're the type of scenes that can actually fuck with your head if you pay too close attention to them, but the problem is that certain aspects (particularly Zelda's dialogue) tend to get a bit too repetitive. Then there is the film's MAJOR twist, suffice to say that timing is everything, and director Bigas Luna pulls out that twist (which changes the entire perspective of the film) just a little bit too early, and it takes the focus off the weird main story at that juncture. However, once things pick up when Lerner goes looking for victims in a movie theatre, the movie is great fun to watch in terms of its craziness and anything-goes nature, and Talia Paul as the heroine is very cute and trembly as well. In the end, while not the masterpiece it could have been, a good fun horror that must have been a hell of a time to watch during its theatrical release...

While I had fun and enjoyed myself (unlike the second installment of this franchise), I think they never went far enough with the initial Mad Max-esque premise.
