Cherry Falls on Sci-Fi last night. It was all right, although I had already seen it once before that on VHS.

I hear tonight during the WB's Valentine, they are showing a special clip of Freddy Vs. Jason! So that will soon be the next I watch (although I saw it on DVD)...

I saw Wendigo and The Fog a couple of nights ago.

The former gets a solid 4/5 (in spite of some misjudged special effects moment) and the latter gets a solid 4.5/5.

Savage Harvest - Way low-budget!! Homeliest actors/actresses I've ever seen in a movie!
But great gore effects & actually a pretty cool plot & very good camera-work & direction. But the look of it is like a home movie, it doesn't have that 'professional' look of a 'real' movie.
2.75/5

Burial Ground: Nights of Terror - Awesome zombie fllick!!!
No storyline whatsoever, the dumbest characters ever assembled in a movie, but fantastic gore scenes! Very creepy atmosphere, just about the coolest-looking zombies I've ever seen - really rotted looking, giving Fulci's undead in Zombie a run for their money. Plus these guys actually use weapons(!) & do other amazing things. Great stuff! It's now one of my favorite zombie flicks!!

4.75/5

I thought House was a good movie for what it was, just a fucked up, entertaining ride.

Don't apoligise Gretchen, I think all us horror fans are excited & still are excited to see these two massive heavy weights go at it.

i thought parts of it were good, but it just didn't come together for me.

however, the entire time leading up to seeing "freddy vs. jason" today, i kept making the rawknroll sign with my hands and mock-screaming "freddy versus jason!!!" a la chris hardwick's cry of "doctor satan!" in "house of 1,000 corpses."

I found time to watch 3 last night:

The Ninth Gate - great movie, gotta love that Roman Polanski.

Inferno - one of my favorites from Dario. Non Argento fans can not be blamed for hating it, though.

Return of the blind Dead - it's not exactly kind to your brain cells but I think it's kinda fun.

Well, at the moment, I'm knocked down with a temp of 101, so I've watched....

Day of the Dead [the new digimax dvd transfer] amazing film, still my fav out of the trilogy. Bub's expression when seeing the Doctor dead is priceless.

Return of the Living Dead
Vampyres
The Beyond
Bad Taste
Blade II
Signs not really horror, but what exactly was the point of that movie??? How do we know the aliens were hostle?? When they did the whole tv/radio - end of the world - broadcasts, I couldn't help but think how even more brilliant Romero's NOTLD is or even Close Encounters. I actually felt that those situations could happen, unlike the "Signs" situation. What a jumbled up mess.
