Leprechaun 2

Not bad movies. Jennifer Aniston was hot when she was younger too.

High Tension - 8/10

Brilliantly executed and legitimately full of tension throughout. IMO the best genre flick besides Devil's Rejects to come out in the last year .

Awesome movie, my Halloween Fest has begun...and with a non-halloween-ish, non-scary movie to boot.

Evil Toons
The Gore Gore Girls

Children.... was goddamn terrible, as was Toons but Girls was at the most a pretty enjoyable movie.

A different kind of horror...
The bleak, dark, grim, tragic and truly disturbing "In a Glass Cage"

I thought I was going to hate it, but it actually wasn't that bad at all. It wasn't good enough for me to recommend, but I've definitely seen a hell of a lot worse horror movies.

5/10

"Blind Terror" - Mia Farrow is hunted by a cowboy boot wearing killer who has bumped off her Aunt and Uncle. Thing is though...she's blind!
Nothing spectacular but it holds fond memories for many who have seen it because of the wonderfully macabre sequence when she returns, unknowing, to the house and walks around the place unable to see the corpses lying around. The classic scene is when she runs a bath not knowing the bloodied corpse of her Uncle is lying in the tub!

"Doomwatch" - Big screen move for the Brit 60s/70's TV show about environmental polution etc. Strangely the actual TV cast are relegated to support roles as the ever welcome Ian Bannen (in a delightfully angry and snarling performance) tries to work out why the people on a remote island are becoming mutated and bursting out into psychotic rages.
Some subtle make-up FX, a fine cast of Brit stalwarts (including a doddering George Sanders and the cute Judy Geeson) an interesting plot and some delightfully cliche "You be not wanted around these parts!! There's nothing for you here! Leave!" type Islanders who don't like outsiders. A nice little sci-fi/horror treat that's no big thrills but always makes for a welcome watch.

Saw, yes it took me time before I saw it but I was not disapointed.

There is a giallo influence in this movie and if I remember well the director likes Dario Argento and Mario Bava.
