Neil La Bute's finest so far. One of the best examinations of the male dominated corporate world ever and an intelligent black comedy to boot. A charecter study in the product of society an intelligent man whith no emotional barometer. Unaware of the scale of evil that he inflicts on the world around him.

So unredeming is Aaron Eckhart's charecter youve got to stand back in awe at how corageous and unrestrained he is as an actor.

It is obvious from La Bute's style that he wants the whole thing to appear theatrical yet real. A comedy so cold that it would make Kubrick drool. Perfectly staged and Forcing us to question what constitutes justifiable violence and violation that should be punishable in a court of law. Which is worse and causes the most damage psychological and physical.

A must see for people who dont mind being challenged, and manipulated by there cinema. No sugar coating here, this is harsh stuff and all to believable.

A film that raises morequestions than it answers and allows you to chew on it in the days that follow.

This movie really unerved me which is what labute does best.

The whole male mentality they portrayed in the film in alot of cases is quite true and the vindictiveness of the human race sgines through in the characters portrayed in this extremely dark film of two men playing a "joke" for revenge. My heart hurts just typing this thinking it over. An excellent film but one I could never watch again due to its subject matter.
