I've got a smashing new promo CD...It's definitely guilty-pleasure material.

The best One hit wonders...EVER (UK)

Here's just a small selection of the tracks on this little beauty;

Chesney Hawkes - The One & Only
Men Without Hats - Safety Dance
Deee-Lite - Groove is in the Heart
Althia & Donna - Uptown Top Ranking
Cutting Crew - I just died in your arms tonight
Arthur Brown - Fire
Minnie Ripperton - Loving You

It really is something else...

I just recently received the new Pearl Jam album as a gift. I hadnt listened to one of their albums since back in the day. Ten, Versus, Vitology were great albums, but somewhere along the line I lost interest and my tastes changed. But I have been loving this album, there are so many good tunes on it. I cant wait until they come to town. I might have to check out some of the previous albums as well.

Spacehog - The Chinese Album

weird and wonderful 'pop'... oh I hate the word because of all its negative connotations, but Spacehog is just too tame to call it Rock

I'm listening to...

Misery is the River of the World - Tom Waits

Ahhh, the download music tag game...it's wonderful!!!

Btw, Jarvis Cocker (Yup, Mr Cocker again) wrote "Walk like a Panther" for legendary 70's crooner, Tony Christie. "The All Seeing I" are simply GREAT when it comes down to the ol' remixing. They collaborate with some interesting musicians, Phil Oakey, Babybird, Jarvis, Tony...You should look out for "Pickled Eggs and Sherbet" Bowieee, one of my favourite dancey albums!!!

Band - Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds

Album - Nocturama

Song - He Wants You

Thus far a great album. The video for the epic 15 minute maelstrom of noise that is closing track "Babe, I'm On Fire" is a masterpiece of hilarious excess.

Maybe it's sick listening to György Ligeti's abstract stuff at 4 in the morning... but that's exactly what I'm doing right now. I'm going insane...
