I'm reading the novel, I just thought that the comic's cover looked much cooler. I seriously forgot how amazing Clive Barker's prose is after veering away from his writings for about 4 or 5 months. (I usually have no variety when it comes to reading...or anything really.)

Great, great book. I never got around to reading the sequel, Everville, though. Should do that at some point.

And yeah, that cover is sick.

Actually am re-reading this:

Excellent book. Really funny story about a very awkward gay teen having his first sexual experiences and surviving high school.

I actually read Everville over last Summer, and have to admit that it's one of Barker's best novels. (And coming from me-a very obsessive fan, that means a lot.) I most definitely recommend you reading it.

Glad you enjoyed it.

I have been on a cop kick ever since I stumbled onto a book called Hollywood Crows by Joseph Wambaugh and I have been reading everything that my library has by him so right now I am reading his 2nd novel The Blue Knight

another awesome novel by Palahniuk. Very funny, twisted, disturbing and morbid, exactly what I was hoping for.

SAI, just head about that from the boards today. I cant believe I havent seen it around. Nor can I believe this is the first Im hearing of it. I gotta check this thing out!

As for me, I am currently reading the only book that I have yet to read from my fav. author...

The Informers - Bret Easton Ellis
(So far, my least fav. of his books. Feels like a toned down version of Less Than Zero but much more generic)

I'm going to have to pick that one up then, there's a comic shop right by my house that may have them-they have a little catalogue of Barker comics. I'll wait until I finish the novel first though.

A Seattle homicide cop is investigating a series of murders done by a serial killer which was supposedly captured years ago. Did they captured the wrong person or is it a case of a copycat killer?

The Onion Field
By Joseph Wambaugh

So far, an interesting true crime book, in which Wambaugh is skilfully and colourfully setting up his main characters.

I'm not a big YA fan, but I'm reading Betrayed by P.C. Cast. It's the 2nd book in that series. First book is Marked.

Past books I've read most recently:

New Tricks by John Levitt

Magic Strikes by Ilona Andrews (X, you'd love this series. Lycans galore and are very dominate. This is book 3.)

EDIT: Now Crash by J.G. Ballard. Naked Lunch was an absolute fucking mess of a book - after reading the first chapter, I found Crash much better, so I'm sticking with that one.

Cool, thanks. Oh, wait -are they actual werewolves or "lame light weredogs" á la "Twilight"?
