Although I can almost see JCLC11 advancing on me with a weapon after this post, I might as well continue...I've always seen Shane West as a bit of a Tobey Maguire/Jake Gyllenhaal/Wes Bentley rip off. I think that he is decent in what he is in...but I have yet to see him truly show anything above "average".

I love him from his portrayal of Eli Sammler on Once and Again. He was so cute and sweet on that show, and it's been his best acting to date. He is another one who needs a new agent because he does a lot of awful movies.

Looking back, he wasn't half bad in A Walk to Remember...and he wasn't bad on Once and Again either...perhaps I just need to see him in more to see his range?

I like Shane West. He's actually a pretty talented young actor, more than just a pretty face.

I recently purchased the entire first season of "Once and Again" and fell in love with the series. The performances and writing are incredible. Now I can not wait for the second season to be available on DVD. And being a fan of Shane's I must say I completely agree: He DEFENITELY needs a new agent. Most of his films are aimed at a teenage audience. (Which means I can watch them no more than once, if that. )

I own it too, and I just LOVE it! I will definitely be buying every season of this wonderful show. It's too bad it didn't find a wider audience because it is actually a very quality program that I think many would enjoy if they gave it half a chance.

And I love Shane West, I hope he follows our advice and gets himself some new representation

i like shane west. good actor, just in bad category as regular teen actor (or whatever)....good in a walk to remember.....and he's cute too....teehee...but right now, he';s definately not as good as jake gyllenhaal, or wes bentley....but he could be some day
