Favorite Beverage While Watching the Game

Hey Schmoes,
Just wondering what kinda frosty beverage do you prefer to drink while watching your favorite sporting event?
I know there are some beer guzzling schmoes out there. What is your brand of choice?

My favorite brew is Hacker Pschorr Weisse, its real tastey. I am also a big fan of Amstel Light and any Goose Island or 2 Brothers ales. Unfortunately you dont see too many beer vendors at the game handing out Hefewiezen, so my ballpark or money-saver beer of choice is definately Bud Lite. I try to avoid Miller products whenever possible.

Back in college we used to drink Natural Light by the truckfull. $7.99 a case, you cant beat that. Of course nowadays, a case of Natti would give me stomach problems for a week.

So how about it beer drinkers, tell us what's your poison....

I hate the taste of beer. Eech!

You can usually spot me with a cool glass of refreshing coca-cola. Some nachos might be added to the mix on special occasions like when the Canadiens get eliminated from the post-season.

Coke...the pause that refreshes.

Oooh damn, I thought I was the only one that drank Natural Light. Those days are over for me now however as I work for the local Miller distibutorship. I basically drink whatever's on the damaged pile.

I find Old Style or Old Milwaukee to be the Miller equivalent of Natural Light.

Has to be BUD for NBA and STELLA for Soccer.

Different beers for different sports.

Damn, thats cool. I used to work unloading trucks for Frito Lay. I would bring home bags and bags of chips that were "damaged". And I thought that was pretty cool, but taking home "damaged" beer would be way better.

Depending what's on offer, I'll have cans of Tennent's (pictured), bottles of Stella, Amstel or San Miguel. Usually with Salt and Vinegar pringles or Doritos. I only really watch football on T V, so... yeah.

You can't drink at the football here (well, you can get Bovril or over-priced soft drinks..... yarbles) but before the game I like to have a few pints of Tennent's in the pub, and some voddy and coke, ya cunt, for the journey if it's a long 'un.

Sweet liquor eases the pain....

Yeah and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, just the fact that it is past the code date. Unless you set a case of beer directly out in the sun for about a year, I don't see how it can really go bad.

Shiner is a beer made at a little brewery in Shiner, Texas. It is similar to Amber Bock, but Shiner puts it to shame.

If it's a Sunday afternoon and I actually have a day off from school/work to enjoy some NBA action it's usually Red Cap, Red Stripe, Moosehead or Mickeys......and maybe a doobie or two for a halftime snack.

Well, I'm Finnish, which means I enjoy beer. Mostly in large amounts, but I may restrict myself when it comes to watching games and such. I prefer Carlsberg myself.

That is of course, when I get it, as I'm still 4 months away from the legal drinking age.

If im watching a game at my friends, I usually have a shit load to drink. Hell I cant remember a time I went to his place and didnt get trashed. I prefer either a Smirnoff Ice or a Smirnoff Ice Triple Black. I can easily down a whole six-pack of that yummy stuff and be prefectly fine. My friend on the other hand drinks like 3 and walks into the fucking wall. Seriously. Guess he cant handle his liquor like I can. I actually scared him one night how much I drank and was ok. I had 6 Smirnoff, 2 Bartlys and James Fuzzy Navel wine coolers, 3 shots of Rum a shot of Jack Daniels Whiskey and 4 shots of Everclear, one of them we set on fire for fun. I then got up, walked around the house in a perfect line, sat down and played some PS2. He was freaked. He kept trying to test me to see if I was ok or just acting like it, and low and behold I was just fine and dandy. The last time I got shit-faced was a few months ago and this is what did me in: 3/4 of a bottle of Dark Eyes vodka. I just poured it into a mug and kept refilling it, until I wasnt able to stand anymore. If I die from anything, it'll be from some sort of Liver complication, I guarantee it.

However, if Im at home, I just nuke a couple hot dogs, break out the chips, and crack open an ice cold Mt. Dew.

My idea of heaven.

I can't hold my liquor. A Smirnoff Ice and a couple of shots and I'm hitting on the one-toothed three dollar whore in the bar.

I've never had a single female friend who's into sports as much as me (or into sports at all), so I usually end up watching alone. I don't have much fun drinking alcoholic beverages alone while watching sports, so I just end up drinking coffee or pop.

Well that sucks! I always watched games with my mom, she's a HUGE sports fans. When I was a young kid right after we got cable we got hooked on watching Cubs games on WGN, she went to work at 3:30 and we usually got to watch up until about the seventh inning before she had to go. Then she'd usually call and I'd give her an update on who won.

Back to the original topic, do you guys all seriously drink these fancy imports on a regualar basis? I'd go broke. 'Round here were just simple folk, Milwaukee's Best, Old Milwaukee, Old Style, Pabst, Natural Light, and such set the standard around here.

Back in my drinking days it was either straight Bud, or a very good import. Foster's, Molsen, Amstel, etc. Good shit.

Right now im eating some Fritos, drinkin an ice cold Budweiser and watching the Cubs whoop the Reds. Came home from work last night and my dad says to me "Hey, drink that last beer in there". So I figure what the hell, im home today, Cubs are playing, "It's Miller time", except its Bud, but you know what I mean.

I save the fancy imports for when there are girls coming over, cuz they always complain about drinking shit beer.

I have never had a male friend complain when offered a free Coors Light. Must just be a female thing.

I'll drink Bud or Bud Lite anyday.

I think all Miller products are shit!
(except for High Life, which isnt too bad)

My mom knows nothing about sports. But pops is the jock in the family, and I take after him.

Where are all the schmoe laydeez who like sports, btw? I seem to be the only one here. Oh well, I'm used to it. When I do watch a game with someone, it's with guy friends, and I drink whatever's on tap.

I drink Root Beer preferably A&W or some good ol Nestle's Quick Chocholate milk in a nice cold mug,I am not much of a drinker and when I do its usually just a couple of shots if my team wins, I will however get bombed out of my mind should the Boston Redsox win the World Series in my lifetime I am only 22 so there is some hope.

Everclear, rubbing alcohol, and a bottle of cologne. I'm a BAD alcoholic. Real bad.

No, when I'm watching the Rangers, I really like the taste of Red Stripe (it makes me feel Jamaican, mon!) and Shiner or Ziegen bock. Natural Light is good and inexpensive, for when you have to spend the bulk of your paycheck on other things, like a QP of kind bud.
