Tobey Maguire

Yay or nay?

I'm sorry but it's a NAY from me. Used to like him a bit, but now SPIDER MAN is wearing off and his other roles are starting to bore me, he can only play one kind of character and comes off as real PRICK in real life.

Maybe Seabiscuit will change my mind but now he's leaving a bad taste in my mouth, like Colin Farrell.

*sigh* Two actors I used to like, but now I dislike.

Great actor. Great in Spider-Man but my favorite performance and movie of his is Wonder Boys followed by The Cider House Rules.

Very good actor but he really does look like a generic Jake Gyllenhaal. Donnie Darko is just way sexier.

Can't really say. Somewhere in between. He was great as Spider Man, but his other movies didn't impress me much.

And he's getting too 'popularized' these days.

he is an excellent actor

but his build, voice and appearance makes his range somewhat limited

not really his fault but a flaw

fine actos nonetheless....especially in cider house rules and the ice storm

He's got talent and has made some real gems so a yay on that front Lookswise he's quite trollish; something I would feel uncomfortable saying if he wasn't so narcissistic

Nay. He's really annoying, and is yet to be in a great film.

Yay from me. He's given some really impressive performances, my favorite of which is his in Spider-Man. He was just perfect for Peter Parker. I thought his performance in The Ice Storm could've been better, but he did a fine job. Seabiscut doesn't look so great, but I'll keep my fingers crossed...

GossipList blind item:

This young actor had a budding career in indie
films and recently starred in his first big-studio
movie. He's funny AND good-looking, but he's
got a wicked drug habit. It's coke all day and
heroin all night. Rehabs haven't helped at all.
Producers of his latest movie had to hire minders
to get him to work on time and make sure he didn't
wander off. But now they're saying he'll be lucky
if he's still alive in two years -- much less working.

Well, he was replaced in the upcoming
Spider-Man sequel at one point with Jake Gyllenhaal,
because of a rumored substance problem.
