Boogie Nights DVD

I don't know if there was this topic earlier. I couldn't find one. But I was just planning on buying it. I would like to hear the remarks on it. PT Anderson sure seemed to be very enthusiastic about it (from the message on the back of the box).

Well DaN, I would just say that I own hundreds of DVDs, and "Boogie Nights" 2-dvd set is my favorite...WHY? First and foremost because it has the DEFINITIVE anamorphic widescreen transfer of the film, supervised by P.T. Anderson himself. Also the extras kick ass... I mean, the director's commentary and cast & crew commentaries are well worth the price of this disc alone. Also, you will find all kinds of goodies, from deleted scenes, to gag reels and hidden easter eggs, from deleted footage of improvised John. C. Reilly scenes to Music from the motion picture, From Michael Penn's (scored "Boogie Nights" and his wife Aimee Mann did the music for "Magnolia") great music video and commentary to cast and character bios. It's just an all-around great secial edition package to a sprawling masterpiece of a film...
