NCAA Football-
Florida Gators: Actually I don't hate them as much now that Spurrier is gone. I just couldn't stand the cocky attitude and trying to humiliate lesser opponents. I would really like to see them do well now as to prove that Spurrier wasn't the God some people made him out to be.

Minnesota Gophers: C'mon playing in a dome in downtown Minneapolis on Saturday nights. If there is a worse environment for college football, I'd like to see it. I dont mind the team so much as the atmosphere, but it needed to be said.

USC Trojans: I can't stand the cavalier Hollywood attitude. Still bitter about last years Orange Bowl loss I guess.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish: For thinking that they are bigger than college football itself by being an entity all to themselves. They've got their own network for Christsakes!

NFL Football-
Minnesota Vikings: Randy Moss, and having to listen to all the loudmouth Viking fans in this area piss and moan.

NCAA basketball-
Duke Blue Devils: I lke Coach K, but the incessant hype just gets old.

Living 45 minutes south of the campus I know exactly what your talking about. The local NBC affiliate here is WNDU, which stands for "Were Notre Dame University". Seriously. The station is located on campus. Everyone in this area loves the team, but I fucking hate them. I hate them more than any other sports team in the world. Everything around here is Notre Dame. Notre Dame this, Notre Dame that. I went to an ND football game last year and luckily it was one they lost, I had so much fun rooting for the other team and pissing off the people around me. Its torture living where I do when you hate a school as much as I do. It used to be all football around here, but then their baseball team made it to the college worlds series and the girls basketball team won the national championship a couple years ago and ever since ND Sports gets, no joke, about 17 minutes of coverage during the 1/2 hour news. Fuck Notre Dame. Fuck them up their stupid asses.

Yeah, I feel for you. It just seems to me that Notre Dame thinks they're above everyone else and a bigger nationwide entity than college football itself.

Lets take a look here. Every single one of their home games are broadcast nationwide on NBC, whether you like them or not, they are pushed down our collective throats 6 or 7 Saturday's a year. You can bet ESPN or ABC are scrambling to get the road games also if they can. They've got their own BCS Bowl clause finishing in the top eight of the BCS standings they are locked in to a BCS game regardless if there are teams above them that get bumped out (see Kansas State Wildcats 1998).

They are the only major college program not alligned with a conference. Sure there are a few other small schools like Utah State, Connecticut, and such but most of these are schools who just moved up to division 1-A and are still looking for a conference to take them.

Sure they have a great tradition and some great teams, but nobody is bigger than college football itself.

I, like notch, loathe the JETS. The Dolphins seem to be in control every game they play but then, all of a sudden, the Jets win. Fucked if I know what happened, I blink my eye and we lose.
