What do you think of it? I heard this long after I got into the band via a trio of magnificent EPs and their If You're Feeling Sinister and Boy With The Arab Strap albums. I'd heard via a friend that nothing after Tigermilk was a patch on that first album (he had a copy on cassette). So when it finally got a CD release I laid my money on the counter and walked out of Avalanche Records in Glasgow with a copy in my bag. I played it the instant I got home and was totally underwhelmed. I figured that repeat listens would reveal the magic that surely must be there. Surely. This was not to prove the case though. At best i'd give the album 3/5. The aforementioned EPs and albums all deserve 4/5 and 5/5 in my opinion. I was very disappointed.

I really think it's a top notch album. But I haven't had a chance to hear any of their other albums yet though, so I couldn't really compare it to their later stuff. But, this one is quickly becoming one of my favorite albums. I really enjoy the lyrics for sure.

Today I bought:

The Music - The Music
By the Way - The Red Hot Chili Peppers
