Yet ANOTHER celebrity marriage: it's John Leguizamo this time

Jeez, celebrity marriages are multiplying like rabbits! Too bad they also divorce in equal fashion. Good luck to them, anyway!

From E!Online

Leguizamo's Leading Lady
by Julie Keller

The Freak has found a missus.

Funnyman John Leguizamo, whose résumé includes the 1998 Broadway hit Freak and films like Moulin Rouge and the recent indie flick Spun, has tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Justine Maurer.

The duo have been coupled for more than six years and have two children, both of whom were part of the June 28 ceremony in New York. According to People magazine, three-year-old daughter Allegra was the flower girl and two-year-old son Ryder did ring-bearer duties at the Catholic-Jewish ceremony.

Per People's blow-by-blow, the 35-year-old bride sported a floor-length Calvin Klein gown, and the couple and their small contingent of guests topped of the ceremony by getting down to the like of the traditional Jewish song "Hava Nagila" as well as Latin salsa tunes.

Leguizamo has been a fixture on stage and screen for years, most often capitalizing on the funny side of his Latin roots. He got major props for his biting comedy acts, like Mambo Mouth and Spic-O-Rama. His one-man, schizophrenic show Freak, which featured 39 separate characters, scored him two Tony nominations and was turned into an HBO special.

On the big screen, he has gotten equal play in both comedies and dramas.

The 42-year-old actor has done family-friendly fare, like the animated hit Ice Age, as well as gritty drama, starring in last year's Puerto Rican gangster flick Empire and Spike Lee's 1999 drama Summer of Sam. Leguizamo also teamed up twice with Baz Luhrmann, once as Tybalt in William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet and again as Toulouse-Lautrec in Moulin Rouge.

Most recently, Leguizamo made his directorial debut and starred in Undefeated, a boxing drama that will bow on HBO July 26. He's also signed on to reprise his role as Sid the Sloth for Ice Age 2.

Good for him. He's finally found someone who isn't jealous about his relationship with the sock in SPUN

Seriously I love Leguizamo's work. He brought Spawn above barely tolerable to bareable. And despite what everyone else seems to think, I actually enjoyed the Mario Bros. movie.......sort of a guilty pleasure.

Guy - "What's your name?"
Mario - "Mario"
Guy - "And your last name?"
Mario - "Mario"
Guy - "So you're Mario Mario? Then who are you?"
Luigi - "Luigi"
Guy - "Luigi Luigi?"
Luigi - "No, Luigi Mario"

It was great when I was younger anyways.....

No, you're not the only one. This guy's mega-talented, no question. He's made a lot of crap films watchable just by his appearance in them.

I wish him all the best of luck in his new marriage. (And I guess I should stop sending him my phone number... )

I'm a big fan of Leguizamo, too. He's very funny, talented actor who always puts a smile on his face with his film work and comedy specials. I hope this one works out.

I don't know that this qualifies as a celebrity marriage exactly. She's not really a celebrity, is she? I think it's just a celebrity getting married.

Well, congrats to them. I think this one will last too, because it's obviously not a celebrity marriage arranged simply to get media attention...unlike most of them.

I classify any celebrity getting married as a celebrity marriage...I'm sure we all have different ways to look at it.
