I bought Dolores Claiborne from Target for six dollars to take another step in my neverending process of replacing my VHS. It's fantasic cinematography is perfect in widescreen. It even comes with the director commentary which almost makes up for the snapper case.

It's indeed strange. It was supposed to be released on DVD (R2) in November, but was then pushed back and the last I read it had been cancelled. Luckily I was browsing Play.com for Nick Stahl DVDs and I noticed it on there. They might be holding off the R1 release for a better spec'd DVD, as the R2 version has no extras (except a Featurette on the Location)
