CATCH THAT KID
"Let's go save your dad!"
![]() Plot Summary: 12-year-old Maddy (Stewart) and her father (Robards) have always shared a love for mountain climbing. Their hobby, however, has a disastrous effect when an accident on Mount Everest injures his spine, paralyzing him forever unless he gets a very expensive operation. Determined to raise the money to pay for it, Maddy decides to recruit two of her friends to help her break into the super-high-tech bank (which includes a vault suspended 30 feet off the floor) that her mother (Beals) works at as the security chief, in an attempt to rob the funds her father needs using the amazing climbing abilities he taught her... Directed by: Bart Freundlich (The Myth Of Fingerprints) Starring: Kristen Stewart (Panic Room), Corbin Bleu (debut), Jennifer Beals (Flashdance), Max Theiriot (debut), Sam Robards (A.I.: Artificial Intelligence), John Carroll Lynch (Gothika), James LeGros (Point Break) Written by: Michael Brandt (2 Fast 2 Furious), Derek Haas (2 Fast 2 Furious), Nicolai Arcel (debut) Rated: PG (for some language, thematic elements and rude humor) Runtime: 1 hour 34 minutes Release Date: February 6th, 2004 -------------- This looks terrible and I WILL NOT be seeing it. |

I... don't think so.
Stewart did a great job in Panic Room but I'm not too impressed with, well... anything in this movie. Maybe on video... but only 'cause I get free rentals ![]() |

Wow, the message this film is putting out is REALLY GREAT and UPLIFTING for kids of all ages.
"Hey kids, if your dad needs an operation, go ahead and rob a bank. Seriously!" Give me a fucking break. I wouldn't see this if the bank paid me to. |

I appreciate the chick from Panic Room...hopefully this is merely a blip in her career...she could do great things.

Just saw its actually a decent movie but the morals are unintentionally hysterical. here are two classics:
" Remember kids if you get stuck in a bind always rob a bank." " Remeber girls the only way to get boys to do what you want is to tell them you love them even if you dont mean it." "Also parents finding kids robbing banks not bad but mischevious." |

This does look sort of cute, I'm surprised it isn't doing good at the box office. Nevertheless, I'm still seeing it this weekend, and I have alright expectations for it, I think I might end up liking it, since I did like Spy Kids, but I didn't see either of the sequels.
