I need to know if these movies are as bad as they say:"The Passion of the Christ", "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre(old and the remake)", "Thirteen", "Friday the 13th", "Jeepers Creepers(the first and second)", "A Nightmare on Elm Street", and "Halloween". These are what I need to know: How many f-words(fuck)there are, if there is any raunchy sex or boobies or balls or anything else sexy(I can see sensuality), and, if I'm going to see a movie, it has to have a least a little comedy in it. If it's too brutal(not in the violence way, just in the torture way), I can't see it. My parents just won't let me. Please, if any of you peeps has seen any of these movies, tell me how bad they are so I can see them WITHOUT waiting till they come on TV.PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ummmmm ok
WELL you have 2 options. Other than waiting on schmoes to reply to this thread. How about checking out the threads on the non-horror flicks by using SEARCH in General Movie Talk here or go to Current Movie Talk and check out the ever growing thread for Passion Of Christ. The schmoes that hang out in the Horror Foums might give you good recomendations which horror flicks are good and which ones suck and I do mean suck I can tell ya that Jeepers Creepers 1 was pretty good. I just wasn't fond of the ending.... |

I can assure you that all these films are Rated R and for a reason, mostly "Fucks" and I believe Thirteen has a nude scene.

I don't remember Thirteen having a nude scene (could be wrong, but I don't recall it), but there was foul language, drugs, and some thong shots (in small portions).
Halloween has brief nudity, a few "f" bombs, and some gore. A horror essential. The Passion of the Christ is pretty brutal. You said that if you see a movie, it has to have at least a little comedy in it. Well, this isn't exactly what you'd call the feel-good, laugh-out-loud movie of the year, so you might as well skip it. TCM (original; I've forgotten the remake ASAP) was gory, as you can expect. No humor. Do what you must... |

I don't think there is anything you can say to convince your parents to let you see The Passion of the Christ. It had some VERY graphic scenes (The scourging (sp?) scene espicially)
Jeepers Creepers (1) didn't have that many "F" words, if I remember correctly. The second one was full of them. You can go to Arrow's reviews and check out some of the horror films for their sex and violence. |

The first Halloween has no bad language, no gore and minimal nudity.
Thirteen has swearing, drug use, a nude scene (Holly Hunter), thong shots, and intended teen oral sex/lesbianism Elm Street has a stunt double's tits, lots of gore and a few f-bombs Friday the 13th has LOTS of gore, but no language and no nudity. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre has intended gore, but it's really sweaty and disturbing. It's not graphic though. Havent seen all of JC 1 and 2, TCM remake or Passion. |

Passion is about as funny and comedic as your parents' funeral, and LOADED with violence and gore.
Halloween has a few boobies and swear words, but hardly any gore at all. Texas Chain Saw Massacre (old)-little swearing, no nudity, some gore. Texas Chain Saw Massacre (new)-loaded with violence. Friday the 13th-precisely two ass shots, medium amount of gore (for a horror movie). |

Thirteen does have like the others said sexual content (nudity, and sexual situations), drug use, not violence so to speak but a scene when punches thrown due to people under the influence, young teen cutting themselves, all of the sexual content, drug use, and other things are all involving young teens. So Im sure you won't be able to see it.
But I think your parents should watch it, to inform them of the message this movie sends. |

Schmoe from horror forum here.
Halloween is an all time classic. Nudity is very minimal. Must not be good cause I don't remember it. No gore. A little comedy. Friday the 13th was reviewed great above. Jeepers Creepers 1 & 2 has a lot of gore. Toward the end mostly. A lot fucks words in the 2nd one. A Nightmare on Elm Street has a lot of gore. One or two nude scenes I believe. A few fuck words. One "sex" scene. Texas Chainsaw Mass has a lot of vioence. Has plenty of torture scenes. Spoiler.............Hanging from a hook and alive.......In a tub and alive... Of course, if your fav movie is Freddy Vs. Jason, then you should be able to watch most of these. Last edited by martyds761; 03-21-2004 at 08:38 PM.. |

I cant remember anything too bad about Jeepers Creepers 1 (apart from the movie sucked), it reminded me alot of power rangers it was very cartoony.
Passion of the Christ is pretty damn brutal but not as bad as the medias made it out to be. As for the others I cant comment. |

Thanks for your help everybody, because of you guys I saw A Nightmare on Elm Street and it was freakin' awesome! Okay, it was a little cheesy, but it IS a 80s movie....my sis said to cut it some slack. Oh yeah, about the whole Freddy vs. Jason being one of my favorite movies.....that's because I spent nearly a YEAR crying, bugging, and literelly BEGGING to see it. Finally my Dad let me see it and it became one of my favorite movies.

I don't wanna sound like an ass, but or you are way too young to watch very violent movies or your folks are way to harsh on you. I mean, it's just a movie. Of course, movies kick ass, but they shouldn't be taken so seriously.
From the ones you mentioned, most of them include plenty of "F" words and/or nudity and/or torture and/or violence. |

For Sad man
It's allright to watch these movies if you're young as long as you PROMISE not to turn out like Freddy or Jason or any other of these murderous(and quite odd) characters. My sis can watch them whenever she wants because my parents know no matter how much she watches them, she'll never go around killing people with a chainsaw or something like that. She has a BUNCH of self-control. And no, you're not a ass for telling me that.

TCM does have torture scenes. I even thought, "Shit, that must hurt." I don't do that w/ most movies.
Good luck on seeing everything... |

The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a must see for any horror fan. I'd highly recommend it. No boobs but the main chick in it is pretty hot. I didn't really like the original Jeepers Creepers flick, kinda sucked. I think you can see some boobs on some dead chick and its kinda funny. Jeepers Creepers 2 on the other hand is really good, has comedy but no boobs. In the Nightmare on Elm Street- The original is good, no boobs slight comedy. The sequel is good, has a gay under theme to it though. No boobs, little comedy. The third has a hot naked nurse and more comedy, it's pretty good too. The fourth and fifth suck but have boob shots. The sixth is filled with comedy and is really good, but no boobs. The New Nightmare is extremely good, but not much in boobs or comedy departments. I can't really remember the Friday 13th Serries that well, but most of them have there share of boobs and comedy. The good ones-Part I, II, III, IV, VI, VII, and VIII. The bad ones-Part V, IX, and X.

Jeepers Creepers - SPOILERS AHEAD
--- ALCOHOL OR DRUG USE None. BLOOD/GORE As he stands with his back to the camera, we see Darry's urine stream as he relieves himself out in a field. We then see Trish stand up and pull up her pants, indicating she was doing the same. Trish and Darry spot the Creeper dumping tied up bodies - wrapped in slightly bloody sheets - down a pipe. Darry finds a victim with a large and poorly stitched up incision on his chest and belly. He then discovers scores of dead bodies everywhere, all with similar wounds and stitching on different parts of their partially discolored bodies. Darry has some blood on his palm from a cut and some blood on his arm. A severed head lands on a car and is later seen on a highway (and Darry finds some blood on the top of their car). The Creeper then picks up the head, sniffs it, and then seems to kiss it, but is actually pulling out the head's tongue with his teeth (seen in graphic detail). Trish hits the Creeper with her car and then repeatedly drives back and forth over his body (until we see several squashed and smoking parts on the road). A cop comes across the Creeper, in devilish form, squatting over a man's body that it's feeding on (and we hear related feeding sounds). Accordingly, we see some brief shots of blood on the body and bloody body parts. We see blood on a man's face as the Creeper grabs him from above and behind, and we then see a large, see-through hole in the man's chest. We hear someone screaming in the distance and then see a dead person (with bloody scrape marks on the chest) whose eyes and back of the head are completely missing (creating a bloody mask look - seen from the front). DISRESPECTFUL/BAD ATTITUDE The killer obviously has both types of attitudes for killing people, and repeatedly tries to do just that to Trish and Darry. Some criminals in a police station briefly have both toward various officers. FRIGHTENING SCENES Scenes listed "Violence" and "Blood/Gore" may also be unsettling, suspenseful or scary to viewers. The Creeper (still unseen) drives his large truck right up to Trish and Darry's car, swerving all around them and blowing his horn. Trish and Darry spot the Creeper dumping tied up bodies - wrapped in slightly bloody sheets - down a pipe. The Creeper spots them and then sets out after them in his truck. He then repeatedly rams his truck into the back of their car until they eventually run off the road and through a fence. Trish and Darry return to the pipe and he then gets her to lower him part of the way down it for a better look. After a bunch of rats surprise them, she lets go and he falls down the pipe into the darkened room where he eventually finds a tied up body wrapped in a sheet. That lone survivor (with a stitched up chest/belly wound) suddenly grabs him. Darry then slowly makes his way through this darkened cave/basement and discovers many other dead bodies everywhere (including on the ceiling), many also sporting such stitches/wounds. Tracy spots a truck approaching and frantically tries to drive off in her car that, of course, won't go into gear. Two cops suddenly hear something on the top of their car as they drive down the highway. The woman then rolls down the window, takes a peak and is suddenly yanked out of the car. The Creeper then pulls the driver's head through the roof and uses a large blade to decapitate him (we see the head land on Trish and Darry's car). Trish slowly approaches a car that we know contains the killer. Trish and Darry slowly approach a house at night and encounter the occupant that they can barely see and who acts rather strangely. The lights then go out and the woman's cats all start acting up. She then comes out with a shotgun, noting that a scarecrow on the grounds is not hers. She fires at it and the Creeper then leaps into her house. She goes in and we hear several more shots until he walks out, carrying her (with her gasping for air). Once we see the Creeper's devilish face and then form, his appearance may be unsettling or scary for some viewers. Trish repeatedly tries to run over the Creeper in her car, both forwards and backwards (but he leaps/runs over the top both times). She eventually hits him (his body breaks their windshield), however, and then repeatedly drives back and forth over his body with related squishing sounds (until we see several squashed and smoking parts of the body on the road). Some devil-like wings then come out of the body and flap around a bit before stopping. A long sequence has Trish and Darry trapped in a police station with locked exits and the Creeper killing others while it tries to get to them. During it, we see the Creeper killing people, scampering along the side of a wall and then menacingly grabbing and "examining" several people. We also see it and Trish just inches away from each other on either sides of a two-way mirror. GUNS/WEAPONS Large blade: Used by the Creeper to decapitate a man. Shotguns/Handguns: Used by various people to shoot or shoot at the Creeper in various scenes. IMITATIVE BEHAVIOR Phrases: "Let him f*cking pass you," "Are you out of your f*cking mind?" "F*ck you, lady," "Bum f*ck," "I'll blow your f*cking head off," "F*cker," "You f*cking let him go," "Oh, sh*t," "Bullsh*t," "You're scaring the sh*t out of me," "Holy sh*t," "You've got taste for sh*t," "She doesn't know sh*t," "Idiot," "What the hell /is his problem/are you doing/was he doing/did you bring into my house/is that thing/is wrong with you/are you talking about?" "Nuts" (crazy), "My ass," "Bitch" (playfully said by Darry to Trish), "Ass kisser," "You suck," "Shut up," "How the hell are you going to get out of there?" "Who the hell is this?" "I don't know what the hell you're talking about," "Let's get the hell out of here," "Don't be such a snot" and "Go to hell." We see that Darry has a small tattoo on his stomach. A prisoner gives "the finger" to a cop. JUMP SCENES A bunch of rats suddenly surprise Darry. A hand suddenly grabs Darry's leg. The sudden sound of a crow in a quiet scene may startle some viewers. A person suddenly appears at a car window. The sudden sound of a telephone ringing might startle some viewers. MUSIC (SCARY/TENSE) An extreme amount of ominous, suspenseful and scary music plays throughout the film. MUSIC (INAPPROPRIATE) None. PROFANITY At least 11 "f" words, 12 "s" words, 1 possible slang term using male genitals ("d*ck"), 27 hells, 8 asses (2 used with "hole"), 4 damns, 3 S.O.B.s, 6 uses of "G-damn," 4 of "Jesus," 2 each of "Christ" and "God" and 1 use each of "For Christ's sakes," "Jesus Christ," "Oh God," "Oh Jesus" and "Oh my God" as exclamations. SEX/NUDITY Darry sees a license plate that he thinks reads "Gay Forever," but Trish points out that it really reads "Sexy Forever" (due to him misreading the letters and numbers). As Trish stands up and pulls up her pants after relieving herself in a field, we briefly see her small, bikini-style black underwear (from the front). Darry finds various nude bodies mounted on the ceiling and walls of a cave/basement, with one showing female full frontal nudity. Trish jokes that a cop looks like he's from a strip-o-gram (good looking with a good body). SMOKING None. TENSE FAMILY SCENES Darry and Trish worry about each other at times and once discuss their mother not being happy. TOPICS TO TALK ABOUT Exactly what the Creeper might have been. Psychics, their visions of criminal matters and how the police use and/or react to them. What to do if confronted by a deranged driver on the road. VIOLENCE Trish and Darry spot the Creeper dumping tied up bodies - wrapped in slightly bloody sheets - down a pipe. The Creeper spots them and then sets out after them in his truck. He then repeatedly rams his truck into the back of their car until they eventually run off the road and through a fence. Darry falls down a pipe and lands hard on the floor/ground below, momentarily knocking him unconscious. Darry finds many dead bodies, thus suggesting the lethal violence that occurred to them. Trish pushes Darry back against a wall while trying to get him to keep it together. After hitting Darry in the crotch, an older woman shoots her shotgun several times at the creeper (one seen, we hear the others). We then see him carrying her to the front door (with her gasping for air) where he then tosses her aside. She then drives over it one more time before they leave. A cop comes across the Creeper, in devilish form, squatting over a man's body that it's feeding on (and we hear related feeding sounds). The cop then opens fire on the Creeper who grabs and presumably kills him. We then hear sounds of others shooting at the Creeper. We see blood on a man's face as the Creeper grabs him from above and behind, and we then see a large, see-through hole in the man's chest. The police then riddle the stairwell above them with gunfire, hoping to hit the Creeper. We hear more sounds of gunfire coming from other parts of a police station. The Creeper grabs a woman and menacingly inspects her. The Creeper bursts through a large two-way mirror and grabs two people by the throats, menacingly inspecting each (smelling and licking). It then throws one of them aside and flies out through a window (smashing it), carrying the other person. We hear someone screaming in the distance and then see a dead person whose eyes and back of the head are completely missing (creating a bloody mask look - seen from the front). |

The Passion of the Christ - extremely brutal and bloody violence throughout.
"The Texas Chainsaw Massacre old version - almost all the violence is intended and not shown although the movie is pretty fucked up and distrubing. New Version - Gory violence, foul langauge including many "F" words and really disturbing. Thirteen - haven't seen Friday the 13th - Very gory in it's day but not so much now, there's also some nudity in it if i remember. Jeepers Creepers(the first) - some gory violence and some "F" words thrown about, that's it. Second One - haven't seen. A Nightmare on Elm Street - Tons of violence and gore, some scary scenes, a tinch of nudity and some "F" words. Halloween - not very violent at all, no foul langauge really as i don't remember any "F" bombs being dropped but there is some nudity in it. |

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) is very violent and terrifying. Several characters are tortured and some scenes are almost hard to watch. There is no sex/nudity in it though with the exception of a couple of references. It is an excellent horror film but be advised.
Jeepers Creepers and Jeepers Creepers 2 are not all that bad. The first is very scary and doesn't rely on a whole lot of gore. There are a bunch of bodies that HAVE been tortured that are shown, and the last scene is a little graphic, but not really. The second is not a very good film. It has a decapitation, and some other violence. I wouldn't reccomend the second. I was very disappointed by it. Thirteen is not violent, but is very realistic and that makes it kind of hard to watch. There is a LOT of language and the movie is loaded with sex references and implied sex. There is also drug and alcohol abuse as well. It is a very good film though and I reccomend it. A Nightmare On Elm Street isn't that bad blood/gore wise compared to today's standards. It is a good film that features some blood/gore but not nearly as much as I was expecting. Probably the least graphic (violence-wise) of the other horror films you mentioned....Freddy Vs. Jason, however, is VERY violent, has sex and nudity, drug content, and loads more. It is also a lot of fun to watch. Hope this helps! |

Oh come now, didn't Ebert give the remake Zero Stars? Agreed, the movie blew, and can't hold a candle to the original, but Ebert was having a power trip that day. I thought it was at least well made and had some great shocker scenes, although it did seem like it was padded down. Zero stars means the film has no redeeming value of any kind, and I say it was a decent attempt, if an overall failure. ** / **** |

I know there are plenty of people who hated the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, but I LOVED it. It's my own personal opinion, and while you might not have found it that scary, I thought it was terrifying as well as being well-made. I was shocked at how good Jessica Biel and the rest of the cast did in the film. They gave good performances in a horror film, something that is incredibly rare.

Horror movie acting
Yes, I must admit I've downloaded parts of the movie online and Biel was in every sense the word dazzling. Same with all the characters, I thought they were amazing. Compare the acting in Texas Chainsaw to the horrible acting in Freddy vs. Jason. I mean Robert Englund was really good, and Ken Kirzinger got the job done, but Monica Keena(Lori).....ugh. I couldn't even stand her character! Now I'll tell you one teen that got the job done: Kelly Rowland. I thought she was amazing for her first movie. She's not as good as Beyonce, but she's still good....keep acting, Kelly! I WANTED HER TO BE THE HEROINE DARN IT! WHY LORI?! Oh yeah, R.Lee Ermey I thought was really good in TCM.
