Is Club Dread worth getting?

I was looking at it last night at Futureshop and it kinda struck my interest. Is it worth a blind buy?

If you're a fan of Supertroopers, low-brow college humor, T&A, Jason movies or all of the above - then yes.

It's a slasher mixed with modern comedy a little bit of weed some Tits and a little bit of gore. I just rented it last night, it's not all that great i suggest you rent it first

As a horror movie? Yes.

As a comedy? No.

This movie was prety funny enough for a rental at least. If I was to buy this though, Id wait for a special edition. This DVD has pretty much NO special features.

Despite how good the movie is, FOX fucked us over (again) and gave us a commentary and nothing else. I'd hold off for another release if there ever was one, though if you really want this DVD, go ahead, but don't say I didn't warn you.

Oh, you boys, you. If there aren't tits and booze, it ain't worth it.

Coming from a girls perspective, I must say that I enjoyed (understatement?) this film and reccomend it, although it's not for everyone, which basically means that there's a lot of hostility towards it because it's being constantly compared to Super Troopers, seeing how that's the only over BL flick to compare it to. So go rent it. And yes, it is funny, but just as Super Troopers, it seems to...maybe...lose it's gusto by the end.

And Jordan Ladd's boobs are gross.

I thought this movie was fucking great.

Hang me.

I watched it drunk with my girlfriend and another friend....he found it "pretty funny", she didn't find it funny at all, and I nearly choked on my beer.

I can't decide personally whether it's funnier than Super Troopers, but it's definately on the level. All kinds of humour here...gross out, toilet, and even some smart stuff. I mean, they play live-action PAC-MAN in a huge maze while a staff member blasts Pac-Man music from a keyboard soundsystem!! GENIUS!

My opinion, as I know most don't agree that this was a good comedy, but it's leagues above tripe like Scary Movie 3.

I watched Club Dread no more than an hour and half ago. I went into it expecting some fun, some cheesyness, and maybe even a possible scare or two.

It wasn't bad, it was mediocre. Right before watching it a friend of mine over the phone said "Oh, I heard it's stupid." I told him, that he had not even heard of Supertroopers, much less Broken Lizard... so I told him to screw himself (basically).

I suppose it turned out ok in the end, an average solid B Movie. It even got a few jumps out of me. It wasn't bad... and I love Bill Paxton.

I just got done watching it.

I liked it.

I mean, it isn`t a CLASSIC or anything.......but it sure was a helluvalot better than "Scary Movie"!

My favorite scenes:

After a HUGE STONE DOOR slams shut:
Blond Girl: I think it was just the wind!

You want to "fun" arrest me?
Then you better get a "fun" fucking WARRENT!

I personally love this movie and think it's just as good as Super Troopers.

I can understand how some people might not like it, the tone's a lot different than Super Troopers. But there's a bunch of quotes in here that me and my friends have been saying to each other lately.

"Am I the only one that thinks his head looks like an octopus?"
