Run Ronnie Run!-most underappreciated film of the '00s

I saw this movie last night and I could not stop laughing my ass off. This movie is what Anchorman, Harold and Kumar, and all those other comedies tried to be. This whole movie was just so random and hilarious. Plus there are truckloads of cameos too. I have not seen so many cameos before in a movie. I seriously recommend this to everyone who loves the kind of comedies like Anchorman or Family Guy.

9/10

I'm curious if anyone else has seen this and what their thoughts are of it.

Actually I have NOT seen it.

I just thought it was a cheap rip off Run Lola Run.

My friend has it and with your praise of it (comparing it to Family guy) I plan on barrowing it from him.

This movie's friggen hilarious. The song with Jack Black in it is great.

Here's some of the great quotes in this movie:

"Hey Tammy! Hey Clay! Hey fucked up dog!"

"Have you read the letter's I'm getting. "Dear Ronnie, my name is Maurice. I am eight years old. I am your biggest fan. How come you are not so drunk anymore? My daddy says you were never drunk, but just a Hollywood phony. I told him he was wrong and he beat the shit out of me. Love, Maurice." Ronnie, I have stacks of these back at my office."

and this last one is when Jeff Goldblum is at a religious cult session

"I want my money back. And I want angels to give it to me. And pixies to count it out, and a gnome or a hobbit or an elf to sleep at the foot of my bed, and have - I just want them all over my backyard. But no matter what happens with any of that, I DO want my money back."

Enter power chords.

This scene!!

Also - How great was "2+1-1"?

Your beautifful vagina...."

This was one of the best, most surprising, most underrated comedy of the year.

Best sketch comedy movie since Monty Python

What was up with dubbing that kids voice over?

I don't know but it was hilarious anyways.

Who did dub the kid's voice anyways? It sounds familiar.

"Ronnie Ronnie! I got my special shooooeees!"

"I don't give a god damn."

The song "Y'all are brutalizing me" was funny too.

"Can't a man not drink his beer in silence? Can't a man control his bitch with violence? Y'all are brutalizing mmmmeeeee."

"I feel that it's just a naked moment"

"Ronnie, you broke my special shoes!"

I just realized something. The fat kid in Run Ronnie Run was a better action star than those people on the TV show Next Action Star.

I just went on my Run Ronnie Run DVD. How could I forget one of the funniest things in a movie.......

How could I forget the Jackie Chan like outtakes!? Everytime someone got hurt, 5 chinese men would run out in orange jumpsuits (one of them always has a cell phone) and each one would end with the injured person giving a thumbs up.

Those were friggen hilarious.

You know.... Asian dub..... Kung Fu movies......

This was another thing I liked about the movie. It was very non-PC.

Oh yes, and don't forget Cox.....

I believe that was the man himself, David Cross.

One of the first things I put in my Netflix queue....

It was funny enough to recommend, not great or anything. I loved the musical numbers.

*** or 6/10

Ok so I watched the movie over the weekend. I thought it started out really strong, but then faded once he came to Hollywood.

The best line I thought was when. Bob is reviewing the blender accident tape with Tank (Brian Posehnl from Just shoot me) and when the blade hits the laddy in the neck.

Bob : Can you edit that out?
Tank : No, we can't
Bob : Oh dear, that might effect sales
Tank: I hope so
