Does anybody know if the Criterion sale will be happening again? The first of the two sales of the last few years was around this time.

I thought I heard them say last year was going to be their last Barnes & Noble sale but I cannot confirm that as a fact.

Just caught this from another forum.

http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=200175

Quote:
Various booksellers have said it's on for the 10th and Criterion Cast's scoop points to the 7/10, too. Presumably running for three weeks until 8/1. It is to coincide with an art house film sale.

Edit: It's been confirmed by many BN stores via members in this thread. I've contacted my store and they confirmed it, too.

What: Criterion Collection movies (includes new films being released within the time frame of the sale)

When: 7/10/2012 to 7/30/2012

Where: Barnes and Noble stores and online at: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/ beginning at 3am EST/12 am PST on 7/10

Just checked the Barnes and Noble website and it shows they are having the sale.

I just wish there were more new releases during the sale.

I was at Barnes & Noble a few days ago and bought a Criterion and the cashier mentioned that they are starting another 50% off sale soon. That lines up with what they have done in previous years, doing it in July and November.

So I would guess around the 1st or 2nd week of November then.

I know I'm definitely getting Rashomon and Rosemary's Baby, as far as new releases.

The 50% off sale has started and runs through November the 19th.

What did everyone get so far? So far I picked up Crumb and In the Mood For Love. Hoping to pick up a few more at the end of the week.

Best Buy 40% sale

In case anyone missed the BN sale Best Buy is doing a 40% off sale of their Criterion Collection stock. Most are $17.99 and they are even offering some of the pre-orders at the discounted price. Brazil for $20.99!?! Wooo!!! Go here:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olstempl...d&usc=cat02015

I believe Amazon is matching the prices on these as well.

The March Criterions have been announced and I seriously can't wait. It's the best selection they've come up with in a while.

The Blob is being released on Bluray, but I didn't include it here.
