I've just started playing FEAR and Quake 4. I also returned to Guild Wars after a four month hiatus and i've made some progress (the game world is fucking huge though so i've only really scratched the surface). I've also got something called Return To Mysterious Island. It's a MYST style adventure game with some really beautiful graphics. The atmosphere is positively tranquil and it makes for a very relaxing alternative to the chaos of FEAR and Quake 4. I've also been dabbling with Raine. Raine is an arcade machine emulator and there are over 500 games available for it many of which are timeless classics. A lot of fun there. On my DS i've been playing Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow. Huge game (as always with this series) and a shitload of fun. I'm really grateful to Konami for taking the series in this direction. I loved Super Metroid on the SNES and with the Castlevania titles Konami have done a great job of aping the style of gameplay that made that game so outstanding. Next week i'll be getting my X-Box 360. I have to take three games with it but I haven't decided which yet. Definitely Project Gotham Racing 3 though.

True Crime: NYC

I'm enjoying it, as I did the first one.
The good cop/bad cop option gives a whole other level of playability to it once you complete it the first time.

Love the music, the famous voice overs are cool.

One major problem:

...WHAT'S WITH THE MOTHERF*CKING PEOPLE DRIVING AROUND IN THE CITY?!

Did the programmers purposely make these people assholes or what?!
I'm racing to the scene of a crime or chasing after a vehicle and someone will slam into me out of nowhere NOT ONCE, BUT TWO OR EVEN THREE TIMES!

And better yet, don't arrest anyone in the street when traffic is backed up because the bastards will RUN OVER THE downed perps AND YOU TOO if you're not careful!

Still fun, but that aspect pisses me off sometimes.

This is the first Myst game I have played and I have to say it is quite addictive. I love the complexity of the puzzels and I cannot get over how beautiful the graphics and environments are.

Well, Dragon Quest VIII (one of the games I bought, if you weren't paying attention) was all right, the beginning at least.

Grandia III is the one that was a very pleasant surprise. Graphics are fantastic, so is the music. The plot is immediately intriguing (loved the concept of the mechanical beasts (gods) and the 'Communicators'). Dialogue and voice acting is well above average and the battle system is FANTASTIC (action galore).

I'll third that motion! Great picture. Would be great to see an animated Zelda film/cartoon with in that style.

"Ominusha: Dawn of Dreams

Man I love the Onimusha series. I finished Demon Siege the other day just in time to get this entry into the series.

The game I finished today was The Punisher. I thought it was a very cool game and one of THQ's best. Loved the interrogations methods and thought it had satisfying action.

Over the course of the last week i've been playing...

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter - Hard as hell...this is going to take some getting used to but I anticipate that when it finally does click with me i'll be in for a fucking treat. Graphics are gorgeous. 9 out of 10

Fight Night Round 3 - One of the most addictive games i've played in some time. The fighters look amazing but i've got to learn some strategy. I keep getting my ass handed to me online. 9 out of 10

Burnout Revenge - An adrenalin pumping racing game of the first order. Stunning graphics and excellent online play (even though i'm shit and keep getting beat...I still enjoyed it). 8.5 out of 10

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Keeping the best till last. This game is going to singlehandedly destroy the last vestiges of a social life i've managed to retain. Amazing graphics and deep, deep gameplay. This game is going to eat me up. 9.5 out of 10

I know what you mean, I'm halfway through the main quest (I've wanderd off and done a couple side quests, but not too many, plus I'm working on securing my membership in the Dark Brotherhood), and I've just barely talked to anyone outside of work and a little bit of talking with my girlfriend.
