That's how I got my PS2 copy of MGS2, and I'm thinking it was a bootleg because there were audio issues where the dialogue and music would cut out for entire cut scenes. If I find one that I'm pretty sure is legitimate, I will pick it up. Interesting to see that MGS3 is your favorite game in the series. I never hear fans talk about it much, I think it was overshadowed due to being released so late in the life of the PS2.
If need to read up on MGS3, there's a free MGS Encyclopedia you can download from PSN. It actually has the info for MGS4 locked until you decide you want to look at it, so as to avoid spoilers for MGS4.

If you're itching for a fighting game, have you tried Soul Calibur 4? The Soul Calibur games are by far my favorite fighting game franchise of the past two generations. I'm a big fan of Tekken, Street Fighter, and Guilty Gear, but Soul Calibur is more enjoyable than all of those on a long-term basis. I just don't get sick of those games.

I completely forgot about Soul Calibur, man. I loved the first two installments. Didn't really get into the third, but I still have it on my PS2. And how could I forget about Tekken 6. I have all of the Tekken games. Including the Dark Resurrection on my PSP. Great fun. Thanks, dude. I will add Tekken 6 and SC4 to my "To Get List".

I'm still playing Red Dead Redemption. Trying to the 100% completion, currently a 97%. Play multi-player for awhile before I finally move on. Have also been playing some ModNation Racers mixed in. Good games.

Also, Mega Man 9 is causing me to rip out my hair.

After beating Red Dead Redemption I decided to return the game, I purchased it used, and get some more games. This is what I picked up.

I decided I will be returning both Elder Scrolls and Devil May Cry today because I don't like either game, so I'll most likely pick up Assassin's Creed II and Saw: The Videogame.

I'm a fine of the franchise, but if it's like most video game movie adaptations it'll probably be a waste of money.

Yes, that game is incredibly frustrating. After spending several hours on Wily's levels, only to have gameover while fighting Wily's final form, and have to start from the beginning of wily's castle without my E tanks I said fuck it. However, I'm inclined to pick it up again, as 9 (along with 7.. and now 10) would be the only Mega Man game I haven't beat.

Alan Wake. Reminds me of Silent Hill games (before the series started to suck). Surprised how awkward the control scheme is, considering it's been in development for what feels like forever. It's decent through 2 episodes. Really like the episodic nature of the game... voice overs, ending credits, "previously, on Alan Wake," etc... really makes it unique.

It feels like Silent Hill's useless creepy inbred cousin who equally beats off to action films and Stephen King (books or films) to me. Whereas Silent Hill 2 had an emotional and moving story that was well played out, Alan Wake has Wake beating you over the head with spelling out exactly what's happening as it's happening leaving no suspense, especially over how much he likes Stephen King. And yes, I felt the controls were quite awkward, which leaves me with little hope for Max Payne 3, which will probably be the same game, sans Energizer flashlight and darkness, and Stephen King. Have I mentioned that Alan likes Stephen King?

I just started a new game of Metal Gear Solid 4. Haven't played it since it first came out and I beat it... it's time for another play through as I don't have any other games to play right now.

just starting: Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask for the prob 20th time.

After much debate over which is the better game, Ocarina or Majora, I think I can finally settle on Majora.

While Ocarina has more nostalgic value for me, I think Majora is the better game. The dungeons are better designed, harder bosses, side quests actually WORTH doing, and a more living, breathing world.

Counter-Strike: Source
Seeing how badly they've fucked it up, and how ridiculously exploitable the achievement system is.

Completely ruined the game, it's a joke and what the fuck were they thinking when they decided to remove the ability to change your name in game. It's like a retarded console port now.

Listening to Eminem's new album while fucking around on it, surprised at how much I'm liking it.

Damn fun game. Very fun homage/parody of 8-bit RPG games, most specifically Zelda.
