Maybe that's not the problem.

Dude - try separating the text. When you want opinions on your work, it's best not to post a huge solid block of text. People will be put off from the start and won't want to read it.

Hi,

I have been throwing ideas around for a couple of years now for a fantasy novel. I have written about four and a half pages so far and I thought you could give me some opinions of what you think. Keep in mind that I write a lot of things that we learn more about as the story goes on. What I have written here is not supposed to make much sense to anyone. You will see two men talking about things as if we are supposed to know what they mean. We don't, at least not yet. So keep an open mind.

You'll need Microsoft Word to read this, probably:

I skimmed over it quickly the first time and it seemed pretty well-written. I've downloaded it though so I'll take a look at it in a couple days when I have a little more time to devote to it.

Hey, as a fellow (occasional) writer, I really enjoyed what you've done so far. Personally, I enjoy pieces that start out with that type of description; the setting, weather, etc.

Keep it up, that was great stuff.
