Worst Halloween Sequel???

Which Halloween sequel did you hate the most??

For me it's simple, H20. Followed neck and neck by H3 Season of the Witch.

I'd take that answer save for 4 which is damn good. 2 is pretty decent. The rest of the series can burn in hell.

The last 3 or 4 were pretty average compared to 1-2 & 4 but i really have to give my vote to Halloween 3 because it's got nothing to do with Michael Myers and it's plagued by really really bad acting overall (even the great Tom Atkins can't save this one )

Resurrection by far. Stupid story, awfula acting, and lame ending. Mike is also such a wuss in this one. The chainsaw scene is so bad its BAD.

WORST HALLOWEEN SEQUEL

Damn, I could've sworn the title of this thread was BEST HALLOWEEN SEQUEL! I actually voted for Part 2, my favorite! HaHaHa!

RESURRECTION is easily the worst of the bunch. A dismal moviegoing experience. I didn't like 3 or 6 either. H20, 4 & 5 are flawed but still merit some interest and admiration.

I was wondering who voted for Part 2...haha, and yes I agree Res. is the worst...period.

and guys above me, I think he was just listing the sequels he liked. The original is not a sequel.

Season of the witch was just a bad movie, period.

However, excluding that one, I thought Halloween 6: The curse of Michael Myers is downright unbearable. They couldn't even go out and get an authentic Myers mask. And that goes for part five, too.

ah, You didn't like the mask in 6? I thought the mask in six was probably the best since the original.

I second that statement. I thought the mask in part 6 was scarier than hell.

2 and 4 were the only sequels I liked. The others all sucked. Especially H20.

Halloween 5 was the 'Jasonification' of Michael. Bad sequel with terrible acting and incredibly annoying characters. And the mask is God-awful.

Halloween 5 really sucked the cock. What the fuck was it with the circus clown tune that accompanied the entrance of the two cops? Supposed to be a horror film, no?

All of them past part 3 pretty much reek, but 5 is definately the worst, IMO.

The Return is my favorite in the series so it is pretty cool to see that nobody voted for it. You guys may have already guessed it but my vote went to Resurrection. I thought every other entry was at least watchable but I would like to have H8 etched from the recesses of my memory. I feel it was really a missed opportunity. Oh and EVILxxx calling Part 5 the Jasonification of Halloween... that is some funny shit. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

I can't believe we're having a three-way dance over this answer?!?!

Busta Rhymes or Tom Atkins?

Kid from Rookie of the Year or Jamie Lloyd?

Everything = Better then Resurrection. (i hope)

It was a toss up between HALLOWEEN 6:THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS and HALLOWEEN RESURRECTION. I thought the "THORN" storyline was completely unnecessary (we don't need an explanation - take note ROB).

I voted for RESURRECTION but not because of BUSTA RYHMES (it wasn't all his fault you know - who was the casting director?!!) but it had less of everything out of all the sequels. The acting was generally poor (not the fault of the actors - script problems etc), the directing was uninspired, there weren't many decent kills, MICHAEL MYERS was a bit of a pussy and there simply weren't many scares.

Not sure there's a more appropiate picture in teh internets.

Halloween: Resurrection made Halloween 5 look like a $100 blowjob.

Halloween 2 - 7/10
Halloween 3 - 0/10
Halloween 4 - 7/10
Halloween 5 - 5/10
Halloween 6 - 6/10
Halloween H20 - 7/10
Halloween Resurrection - 7/10

And if I were to rank the entire Halloween franchise it would go: H20, 4, 2, 1, 8, 6, 5, & 3.

I was suprised at how much I enjoyed Halloween Resurrection. It was way way way way way way WAY better then either parts 5 or 6, but that's just my opinion.

I understand that this is a "Worst" list but it's also a Halloween list and I think that this should be moved into the horror franchises section because of that.

Too bad this thread came out a couple of years ago. I would like to have seen how many people would have voted for Rob Zombie's Halloween. I would still stand by my vote for Resurrection but I know a lot of the fans are divided about it so it would be interesting. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Halloween Resurrection all the way. Pure and utter trash. Never in my day did I think I would see Michael get his ass kicked by a kung-fu Busta Rhymes....He even yelled HIIIIIIIYAAAA! A simply idiotic film from frame one. A couldnt believe the stupid shit they pulled by bringing Michael back. The ending to H20 was PERFECT. Then they go and shit all over it. Ugh....I'll take the remake any day. At least Rob Zombie respected the franchise, even though some may not agree with where he took it.

What in the holy fucking hell? The worst sequel ever. Even worse than the boring, stupid, dull, Halloween 3.

Does Halloween III really count as a sequel. Hell the only thing it had from the original story was the movie being shown as a movie.

Well, I would think so. Its called Halloween 3. So I guess that means its sequel. Plus, there was this huge plan to make every Halloween sequel a different story with nothing to do with Michael. Didnt work, as you can see.

Never know the part about the different stories. That is why I questioned if 3 could even count as a sequel. At least now I know the reasoning behind that trainwreck.

I don't understand the bitter hatred toward Resurrection. I really enjoyed it! Yea Busta fuckin' Rymes was terrible in it, and the story was shit. But it was a good time, a brainless popcorn enjoyment/experience for me.

I'd go with part 3, since obviously Michael's missing. It was garbage from what I remember when I watched it years ago anyway. Anything with Michael is worth watching and is a good time for me.

I didn't mind Resurrection either. It really didn't fit the Halloween mold, and I could list so many problems with the movie. But it was a straightforward movie. It didn't include a lot of subplots that people hated, like Thorn, which I actually liked. It was a new direction, but too new. I can understand the hate, it was too poppy.

If Rob Zombie was on here, I guess we could consider it a sequel, it is still part of the series, I would have voted for that.

I will vote 3 because it didn't have Michael in it, but it was far from a terrible movie. Without the Halloween title, I don't believe it would of had as much hate.

I watched Halloween 3 being fully aware that it had nothing to do with Michael. Yet it still blew chunks. It was slow and boring with a stupid plot that got stupider as the movie went on. Just a turd all the way through. The acting was stale, everyone seemed bored out of their minds. Not to mention that fucking commercial that got played over and over and over again. I GET IT! ITS ONLY 3 MORE DAYS STILL HALLOWEEN!! SILVER SHAMROCK!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!!

Maybe I'm overracting a tad, but shit, that was annoying.

Not everyone likes every movie. H3, I feel works on its own. I was never annoyed by the commercial. I thought it had a good idea. But calling it Halloween was wrong.

Tough choice. I would say Part 3 since it's so frickin' cheesy it's hilarious. For one that had Michael in it, it'd have to be Part 5. Why the hell they started in with that Thorn shite is beyond me.
