SAW IV

**MAJOR SPOILERS**

Ok, those of us who have followed the SAW films up to know are probably wondering: How the heck are they gonna bring Jigsaw back after what happened in the end of SAW 3???Thats a mysetry to me. I mean, I know Jigsaw is returning, but do u ever wonder how??? I really thought the third was the last. It had a good ending and it finished the series off well, but I guess us fans cant get enough of Jigsaw either. What are your opinions???? How do u think Jigsaw will return??? How much are u anticipating this movie????

MAJOR SPOILERS!!!!!

OK, the way I see it, they have options:

1. Jigsaw or Amanda survived. (doubtful)

2. Jigsaw lives on in a series of taped messages he left for the dad in the end of Part 3.

3. Prequel, showing Jigsaw and Amanda in the early days of their partnership.

4. Jigsaw's son, born to the blond woman we saw in flashback, and unknown to Jigsaw, learns of his father's identity/actions and takes over the family business.

END SPOILERS

I have no idea. I had a feeling he would be returning because Tobin Bell is signed for six films but I don't know how they will continue his story. I mean he gets worse with each progressive installment and in the last one he was damn near comatose. With each entry the series gets more unbelievable because if Jigsaw is in such bad shape then HOW IS HE ABLE TO PULL ALL THESE ELABORATE PLANS OFF?? Not that I mind much though. Because I'm hooked and I can't wait to see the next one. I think the story arc will be changing quite a bit in this one cause I don't think Shawnee Smith will be returning. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Hmmm... that is a pretty interesting idea actually. Almost like what happened with Randy in Scream 3. Like Jigsaw from beyond the grave. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

*** Potential Spoilers *****

Not sure about the 'beyond the grave' angle, as (a) Jigsaw died sooner than he was planning (or did he.....? ) and (b) he likes to have front row seats for his games, which is a little difficult from six feet under.

My thoughts are more along the lines of a copycat, or another Amanda-type protege, or (as mattman.... suggested maybe a son/daughter - which may have been the point of the seemingly pointless flashback all along, eh? Hmmmmm)

Whatever, I'll be there this Halloween to see what they do with this

Yeah those all seem pretty interesting, but I dunno. All i know is that *SPOILERS* Jigsaw is returning, but like u say: jigsaw was already dying and his throat was slashed!. I dunno. I like that there is gonna be another Saw films, but then again Saw III was a prefect ending to close the Saw series forever.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think they should do the copycat on V if they are doing it. I think the "beyond the grave" thing could work with the person ending up in Jigsaws grave.... thus Jigsaw would have a front row seat

Nah, but this one could be all about the Blonde in the 3rd one.

END SPOILER

So Jigsaw is only alive via tapes?

Clever I guess. But they're pushing the realm of credibility.

I think I'm done with this franchise. Tobin Bell was the best thing about it and frankly he was pretty much the only good thing about Saw III so without him this franchise has pretty much lost me.

I'm glad that it is a plausible way for the franchise to continue but Jigsaw really is the man. If he isn't "really" in it the franchise is going to have a tough time continuing. I was looking forward to this one but now I have lowered my expectations. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Spoilers~Yeah thats true. A Saw film is not a movie if Jigsaw will not be in it. Its Like having A Nightmare On Elm Street without Freddy, or Friday The 13th Without Jason

Iīll probably go see part 4. After seeing the other three, itīd be logical. Yet, I doubt itīll be better or new or anything like that. My guess would be : The series will go down more and more. Like the Halloween series only in a smaller amount of time. There are a couple of things that I might want to see happen though: Whatever became of Daniel? Why did they put Beverly Mitchells SAWII-Character in that house to begin with? Will that little girl from part 3 die? What became of Lawrence Gordonīs family? How do you recover from scarcely surviving Jigsaw. I also hear a rumour about rats being involved. Iīd like to see that. But overall, I am not too thrilled with having another SAW movie come up that tries to go back to part one in terms of standard, and fails in the event. Part 1 was great. Part two was a nice try. Part three was boring 50% of the time.

Sarcasm from the X.

I actually like the plot idea for Saw IV. To be honest, I liked the father angle from Saw III even though that film was a huge piece of crap. If they would have cut out the first thirty minutes (aka. an excuse for two kills that have nothing to do to the actual PLOT of the movie, just showing that Amanda is a psycho bitch. It felt like a waste of damn time!) and added another trap or two for the father to find, I would have loved the film.

Bring on Saw IV, even though I know they'll fuck it up!

Sorry, I was simply joking back. I new you where joking. I didn't mean for you to take it seriously. So, sorry again. I really didn't mean for you to take it as something against what you said.

Anyways, as much as I want to see Saw IV, I just know they're going to end it with something for Saw V, and again for Saw VI, and so on. Business Men aka Producers only care about making money on expendable products. The Saw franchise is their product series. And as the producers said in the Saw 3 commentary, they're making a long map for the franchise, so they can keep it going till they no longer make money.

Bloody-Disgusting reports that despite both Darren Lynn Bousman and Shawnee Smith denying rumors that Amanda will be in Saw 4, a VERY reliable source has confirmed them otherwise. Could it be that we just might see Amanda, dead or alive, in Saw 4? Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

I'll laugh if she's going to suffer the same fate Franky G. went through in Saw 3, which resulted in a haft a second corpse cameo.

She better only have a two-second corpse cameo. These movies have jumped the shark enough. Having either Jigsaw or Amanda 'be alive somehow' would be like . . . leaping and skipping and flying over the shark. The shark wouldn't even see them above them.

Ugh. The news for this movie just gets worse.

I like Jigsaw but there is no way he can be in this movie unless they dump all logic entirely and have become like Jason or Freddy.

If that news is saying Jigsaw didn't die, then this will be even worse than when Michael and Dr. Loomis somehow survived the explosion at the end of Halloween II.

Make it super natural!!

In all honesty that would kick so much more ass then more of the same boring "run the gauntlet" torture shit.

Jigsaw just "surviving" would be the most laughable thing ive seen in a horror movie since the pathetic way they decided to bring Myers back after H20.

I just dont think i can take anymore Jigsaw bullshit rants. The character was a joke in the 3rd movie.

My belief is that he will still be running his "games" via videos which he prepared prior to his death. His ability to have a stranglehold on any and every situation at hand really gets more ludicrous with each installment. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Some news Bloody-Disgusting got on Saw VI from Tobin Bell:

“There's a guy in this film we've never met before... one of the disenfranchised of the world,” he explains, “Jigsaw comes into contact with this guy [and he’s] the total opposites of Jigsaw. Many people talk a good game. Right or wrong he steps forward and does what he (Jigsaw) does.” Bell elaborates a bit for us, “This guy he runs into... he’s one of the lost of the world, Jigsaw is extremely educated, and the other guy hasn't had anything…. There is an Interesting dialogue between the two.”

Why do I get the feeling that the Saw films are now going to be about some other guy playing games with people?

Why? Because it isn't inconcievable that they would try to keep this money machine alive somehow. It reminds me of FRIDAY the 13th Part 5: A NEW BEGINNING. They already killed off their major enemy (twice I might add) and decided that they just needed to pass the torch. Even though I have loved the series up to this point I think this is going to be the beginning of the end for Saw. I don't feel people are going to take too kindly to watching the exploits continue through someone else. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

There is an interview with Darren Lynn Bousman on Arrow's front page. He talks about the upcoming film without giving much away of course. He says he won't be back for Saw 5 even though he said the same thing about Saw 4. Anyways it really ended up raising my interest for the series again but October is still a long ways away. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Not a bad thing.

The series needs to do something to keep things fresh. As is, its getting abit old.

Even if i kinda enjoyed the second, The third movie was downright laughable.

I thought it was Amanda because of the pig mask. But I think the women in the chair is either a cop or a hooker. She's the same person that is in all of the car photos. The words on the wall say "See what I see." So if I'm right, then she's either been caught working undercover as a hooker, or simply is a hooker. And the trap seems the electric type, though I could be wrong on that. This may be apart of what Darren said about cops not acting like cops if she is a cop. Though I seem to be leaning on the hooker bit.

Hi
I just had a look at this poster picture and with all that silverware I would not be surprised if somebody ran cannaballistic in SAW IV, well, as long as they do not come up with a sudden genetic relation between Jigsaw and Hannibal Lector, we ought to be grateful.
The idea of Jigsaw leaving a bunch of video tapes all over the place, yeah, that would work for me. Another, new jigsaw killer. WEll, maybe some survivor like Amanda (only without that psychobitching part), maybe Daniel, a couple of years later...Okay, that might not be as great as the original, but still be better than the H20-standard raised for sequels. Personally, Iīd been fine with SAW I being enough. Now that they make this series, I just start appreciating part 1 more and more and more.
What ever happened to Hollywood. There was a time, when movies were good by nature. Now -unless itīs a drama - we have to pray for a movie in order of it being a good one. You realize why SAW 1 is generally (indiviuals being a noble exception) more liked than itīs sequels? Less money, less time, less space, less possibilities, great faith. And that led to a great deal of more focusing on shooting the movie and making it good, than it actually earnign cash.
