Being the horror movie fan out of my friends, I was in charge of picking the films this year.

I've selected

Trick R' Treat (Obvious, I know)
Near Dark
Idle Hands (Arrow, why haven't you reviewed this movie?!)
House Of 1000 Corpses
Poultrygeist: Night Of The Chicken Dead

Hey Lucky Denver! That's some good choices man! Trick R' Treat, Near Dark and House Of 1000 Corpses being my favs! Idle Hands came out in 1999, one year before I started the site, and I never got around to it after that. I dug the film though, its via that flick that I was first introduced to Alba's priceless bootie!

Halloween shall be a busy day for me so I'll only have time for one film and I figure, what's better than the original Halloween?

Yeah, like zombievictim, it turns out I'll be too busy this year to watch movies. I'm might be attending a big Halloween dancing/costume/drinking party around campus this weekend, though. I already have my quasi-decent Sean Connery costume ready to rock out in.

I watched Trick 'r Treat last week though and I quite dug it. It made me want to celebrate New Hallows Eve on that very day.

The movies I would watch, though, would be my three regulars: Jacob's Ladder, Black Christmas, and The Thing.

My aim is to watch these:

Near Dark
Vampires
An American Werewolf in London
Ginger Snaps
Dawn of the Dead original
Dawn of the Dead remake
Friday the 13th original
Friday the 13th Part 2
A Nightmare On Elm Street 1 through to 5, New Nightmare
Halloween original
The Thing
Scream
Final Destination
The Ring remake
28 Days Later
Evil Dead Trilogy
Re-Animator
Frailty

I had Lost Boys down but I watched that already.

Actually, I discovered Near Dark way back as a young horror fan thanks to this site. As for Trick R' Treat, none of my friends have seen it yet so I made their asses wait for Halloween. And I figured we'd all be too drunk to watch Inside, so we traded that for House Of 1000 Corpses instead.

And Alba's ass is the exact reason I figured a review for it would be up. Haha. I haven't seen it in years.

Anyone know a good movie for a drinking game? I'm stumped (or just really bad with coming up with drinking games)

LOL depends how hammered you wanna get? My personal fav which is what I had sent to the podcast is Freddys Revenge, drink when anything remotely gay happens, or when the film should be showing the female assets and doesn't.

Friday I have to decorate the house and front porch. So I'll just have movies on in the background all day. Probably go with Halloween 6 (producers cut), Fright Night, TCM:The Begininng, Bite Me!, Subspecies, Abbot and Costello meet Frankenstien, and The Worst Witch (gotta hear the Tim Curry song this time of year).

For my Halloween party I think I am going with Halloween 2, Trick R Treat, and the Shepis powered flick- The Hazing. I'll try to watch the cartoon Witch's Night Out too.

Jacob's Ladder, Black Christmas, and The Thing are three GREAT choices! Haven't seen Ladder in a while, got to re-visit that one!

If I had the $$$ to buy the rights to that flick, I would. I think it'd be quite profitable to release a good special edition DVD.

I can't decide. I've got it narrowed down to...

The Fall of the House of Usher
The Call of Cthulhu
The Bad Seed
Son of Dracula
Sting of Death
Return of the Vampire

I've decided to watch "The Descent"(Unrated). I've never seen it(and the little bit I've seen of it looks like a bunch of really annoying girls who deserve to die while spelunking) and since I am such a devout horror fan; and so many of you on here revere it so highly-
I've decided that if it sucks I am going to call all of you out on it.

He's what I'll be watching this Halloween....

First Time Viewings:

Village Of The Damned (1960)
Room 205
Paranormal Activity
Day Of The Dead (1985) (Believe it not, I've never seen it. Which is weird 'cause seen all the rest of Romero's zombie films)

Rewatches:

Friday The 13th, Part 6: Jason Lives

Wow people, The Descent was actually pretty good!

Even though there was some mediocre CGI in places and a hamfisted ending(though not nearly as bad as High Tension's), this movie delivered some pretty decent scares.
8/10
